I was completely not expecting it, but this is legitimately the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. I’ve tried Mexican in many different cities (Boston, Chicago, Cancun, Milwaukee, Madison) and this somehow is the best. The food is phenomenal. The chips are light and crispy. The salsa is fresh and unique and well balanced. The simplicity was beautiful. I got the skirt state plate ($18) and the rice and beans were absolutely amazing. I truly did not think that you could make beans taste this good. The beans were smoky and full of flavor and the rice was fluffy and perfect. The taco itself was very good. It was an actual piece of skirt steak that was well seasoned. Another highlight of the meal was the sauces. The green and red sauces that come in the squeeze bottles are so freaking good. I would have bought a bottle if they sold them. It was like a crème more than a salsa, but they were packed with flavor and perfectly spicy, something very difficult to do. It was bold, spicy, fresh and light. There was nothing wrong with anything and I will update this if I find another Mexican restaurant better than this. I implore you to go here. The pictures do not do the...
Read moreFood made my Brother sick. Low quality ,i ordered fajitas with chicken steak and shrimp, they only have one size. As im eatting there were 2 couples that ordered fajitas and they had almost twice as much given to them a noticably higher pile. So i payed the same price for less. Since it was just me eatting they figured they could ajust how much they gave me. When i can eat for 3 people then desert. Ill never go back. Their lights also glicker on and off like they have bad electrical. So the place will probally burn down at some point . The people who like this place probally like mcdonalds too. So no standard of whats good food. The atmosphere was awkward and instead of normal mexican music they played mexican eletronic dance music which made it hard to relax for a meal . Considering that type of music is made to make you jump up and down and dance . Comparable to fake food like tacobell it may give you food poisioning. You might get all your food and you might not. And it will taste cheep. In fact from what i remember of tacobell cause i dont eat fast food anymore. Tacobell had more flavor with its fake...

We had the pleasure of stopping in for lunch this afternoon while staying in town for the weekend, and truly it was such a wonderful eating experience! All of the food tasted delicious, and the service was great - this is a place where the owners really care about the experience of the customer.
I would highly recommend the cucumber margaritas (house specialty and so yumm!), and the suizas enchiladas (the sauce on top was incredible!). All of the food tasted like it was made with consideration towards spice and a multilayered experience. The salsa with the homemade tortilla chips at the beginning was fresh, and the hot and mild salsa that came to the table with the meal were superb!
All around, if you are looking for authentic, "a real cook in a home kitchen" type flavor, go here! It was so good, and we were only sorry we are in town for the day, and couldn't come back again!
Muchos Gracia, Cocina Mi Familia for the wonderful experience, your...
