Vietnamese food? Never had it. That's how I felt when Pho Vn had finished construction. I wasn't sure what I would eat or if I would like it so I did a quick Google search and kept seeing this sandwich, a Bánh mì, and it was an item on the menu. Anyway, me and my wife went out, and I got the Bánh mì, it looked a little much, quite a few ingredients. I dissected it on the plate, looked like some kind of pickled veggies, jalapeños, fresh veggies, something like mayo, and smoked pork. It was awesome. My wife got one of the noodle soups and didn't like it, too oniony she said, so I ate hers which was still pretty good and she ate the sandwich which she loved.
Anyway, restaurant is pretty clean, seems like there is always some debris on the floor though. Wait staff is fast getting food out but a little slow on the refills. It is interesting that you can watch them cook from the dining room. There are a lot of menu items but according to the English translation they all seem pretty similar (at least the noodle soups). The noodle soups are spectacular, they come with a huge heap of bean sprouts on the side, jalapeños, lime, and basil (all very fresh). Big helpings. The rice dishes also are pretty good though I have only tried one. It was spicy, but spicy done right, and I had asked them to make it as spicy as they could. Huge portion though, it fed me for dinner then lunch the next day easy.
Really, you get what you pay for, lots of food. The veggies (and there can be lots of them) are all fresh and it really makes the food. Nice to have a quality restaurant right in town to save a trip to one of the...

Update 1/19/2025**
I had always loved Pho VN pho as it was consistent and the broth was good. The meat and tendons were unmatched in the Sheboygan area. That was my experience here, 5 years ago.
Went to go eat here with my daughter last week. I ordered a P1 medium and a Thai tea for my daughter. When the waiter bright me the pho, I was taken away by the look of the broth. I had never been scared of eating pho before. The broth looked dark red to a dark brown. Good pho broth is supposed to look clean and clearer than this. I tried the broth and it was a bit sweet. I could not taste any beef flavor as it was overwhelmed with sweetness. I ate some of the noodle and a few slices of beef. The tendons were smaller in portion than normal. Meatballs tasted funny. I could not finish the rest due to the fact it looked horrifying. A really good thing I had ordered only a medium. The Thai tea was not great either. It tasted really watered down. Obviously, something changed in their recipe. I heard from other customers about their birth being sweeter, but at the time when I still went here, their pho was still good. Now, I’m seeing what they’re seeing. I’m really disappointed. It may be preferences, but pho should not be sweet. It should have a clean clear taste of natural beef. All ingredients should be fresh in it too. Would I eat...
Read moreWhen this place first opened (5+ years ago) and had the real cook, the food was good and the pho was excellent. It was great having Milwaukee quality pho in small Sheboygan. After "helping/training" the owner with his recipe for 6 or so months, the cook left and returned to Pho Cali in MKE.
With that, the restaurant gradually went downhill and I honestly don't know how they are still in business. Now, the pho tastes bland and just horrible. It's obvious the owner/chef started to cut corners and got lazy with the broth. A good bowl of pho could be eaten without any extra sauce/flavoring. Not here...not by far.
The service is a reflection of how no one wants to be there, and won't even seat anyone after 7:15pm. There's no exaggeration that half the menu is unavailable. During Covid lockdowns, they likely had no dine-in options and kind of just stuck with it. They opened a few tables up but the rest of it is just storage, dirty fish tanks, and plants.
Please, if you're from out of town, there's better places to get Pho in Sheboygan. Maybe it's not authentic Vietnamese Pho but at least you'll enjoy your food and not worry about how dirty and run down the place is. It's sad to see the place become such a dump and the food go from being pretty darn good for Sheboygan to...
