Waitress clearly did NOT want to be there. We ordered a double brat for me and my wife ordered the cheeseburger. We also ordered a basket of sweet potato fries for an appetizer. We received our food wrapped to go, no plates, no silverware. My double brat was dropped onto the table in front of me. That's when we also received the sweet potato fries which were supposed to be the appetizer, and we did not receive the regular fries which were supposed to be included with our sandwiches. The brats were smothered in grease and butter, which soaked into the bun and, 3 bites into it, could no longer support the sausage and one of them fell on the floor. Without any utensils to aid in eating this sloppy mess, I was forced to eat with my hands, which got covered in grease. All the other guests received their order on a plate or in a basket and were supplied with cutlery, except us. The cheeseburger was thin and dominated by the oversized bun. They only accept cash, no cards or checks, but they do provide an ATM which charges a fee to get the cash to pay the bill. We usually have a really good experience at the Northwestern House, but today we ordered chicken tenders and one of them was still raw. We notified our server and she said she would let her boss know. When we asked about it again before leaving, she said she forgot to talk to him and asked us what we would like done about it. We asked that maybe they could take something off the bill for serving us raw chicken. She came back and said her boss couldn't take anything off the bill, only offering to make a replacement 1 piece chicken tender. At that point, we were getting ready to go and declined since we were obviously done eating already. In my opinion, it would have been more professional to take something off the bill since it was a pretty big deal to be serving raw chicken to a customer and they were notified right away and forgot about it until after we were done. I honestly love the food but after this situation I will not be eating here any more and will share my story of the terrible customer service we received. On Saturday 06/15 we had a birthday party for our twin girls. We ordered a big platter of food as well with a nesco to keep our food warm during the party. The unit started sparking right where it connects into the nesco and if no one was there in the kitchen it would have caught a house fire. We had black smoke marks all over the counter tops I called immediately to inform y’all of this. After having my mother in law return the nesco I am deeply saddened that there was no compensation at all. No gift cards. No nothing. I served cold food to my guest (25+ people who witnessed this).
