My sister and I stopped here on our trip home to the UP from Milwaukee. We looked up “best restaurant in Sheboygan, WI” and Nine-O-Two on the Avenue” came up. It was a bit more off of Hwy 43 than we realized, but not too bad.
The food came out super quickly & was DELICIOUS! We had a Hawaiian Chicken sandwich with fries & a brisket Reubens’s sandwich with fries. Both sandwiches & the fries were AMAZING - kudos to the cook!!! Both the chicken & Reuben were really tender.
It is a really cool looking bar. Only high top seating, which was somewhat of a challenge for my mom, but it worked. The bartender/waitress took our orders & brought food out quickly, but was not very friendly or personable. We could also tell that all the people at the bar were locals & were somewhat loud & not great language, but we realized that we were in a bar & grill so weren’t totally surprised or upset. The owner was present & welcomed us when we came in & offered to close a window that was open if we were cold &...
Read moreTraveled from Washington to visit Wisconsin, the city of Sheboygan is truly the Malibu of the Midwest. Went to nine o two for dinner because of the reviews and items on the menu. The establishment isn’t large but the atmosphere is cozy. Sashi greeted us and informed us that there would be a slight wait for a table. He recommended that we grab a cocktail as we waited for an available table. Sashi took amazing care of us and the other patrons, there was a method to the madness. He was very attentive, humorous, professional, and respectful. He knew everything on the menu and thoroughly answered questions. The soup was homemade and might I say, phenomenal. The cupcakes were homemade as well, and all the food was cooked fresh. Definitely one of my best dining experiences and will be in my...
Read moreWe have been here a few times, the food is absolutely amazing. Our first time the wait staff was less than attentive. As a matter of fact the one bartender Stood in the same place for the three and a half hours that we were there not helping any customers and only chatting with the person that was sitting in front of her-While there was a large crowd in there. However the next time we came we had a young gentleman as a waiter serving our food and taking care of our drinks and he knocked it out of the park. So for that I had to give it a three. The atmosphere is either very crowded ( The tables on the bar side of the back) or not very comfortable ( The tables on the wall to the east)
All in all, a great place to stop, Have a few cocktails and...
