Update: Sad to say they have changed. You can see the previous review below I left raving about them below. I've referred many people to this store and always raved about the quality and the service but today that level of service seems to have changed. Stopped in on 3/15/20 and asked for three pounds of the grass fed ground beef. The gentleman behind the counter told me they weren't serving that today...okay fine. I'll take three pounds of the regular ground round and I asked them to package it in three separate bags of 1lb each. He told me they could not do that and I would have to take it in one bag but he would give me separate bags to separate it later myself at home.....WHAT??? I ended up telling him to forget it and walked right out and drove to the regular supermarket down the road where they were happy to accommodate my request. Mind you, when I walked in it was not particularly busy. I didn't wait to get service, have to grab a number or anything like that. I'm a big fan of voting with my dollars and used to drive here because of the service after doing all my shopping at Kroger or Meijer...looks like I won't be going out of my way anymore. It's too bad...especially with summer coming up.
Previous Review: This store is a hidden gem. I’m so disappointed I didn’t stop in earlier. The service is far beyond anything you could ever expect at a Kroger or other big box store. I love that they will happily filet my chicken breasts for me and save me the step. All the meat is fresh and delicious. The home made hot dogs are a big hit as well as the reasonable prices. After doing our weekly grocery shopping at the big stores we then go out of our way to stop here for the meat and it’s so worth it. Please don’t...
Read moreReal deal meat market here. Also my go-to place for sausage making, ask them and they will sell you their saussage spice blends. It's easier to start with their blend then up the ratio for what your taste. Want to know what to cook in early spring over an open fire to celebrate Easter while remaining gluten free and grass fed and sustainably sourced? Ask Frank. Looking to recreate an Irish dish from early 1600s Ireland to impress your friends? Ask Frank. Ever wanted your favorite Aunt show up and be super excited to see you? See anyone here. That's how this place makes customers feel, they are super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. Plus it's a family place, not some conglomerate grinding whatever into "food". Next level freshness here, with everything they do. Last thing, ask about their classes, every so often they do a saussage class that is so worth it. Learn a ton in a short time, plus get to eat...
