White Castle — Restaurant in Shelby Charter Township

So earlier tonight, I placed an order for four Impossible Sliders, two in a meal with fries and a couple of dessert treats (brownie, gooey cake) with no issues. Almost instantly after placing I received a call from the store, the girl asked if I was vegan and proceeded to tell me that they shut down the Impossible grill at 1030. I told her I wasn't vegan, just vegetarian... she said she would make my food for me this time but "just for future reference because the other managers wouldn't". Awesome, great. I thanked her, and hung up ? Not sure why Impossible burgers are able to be ordered on the app if that is the case? Seems silly. Should be like a McDonalds... "no Fish Filet available after midnight" situation although their app actually indicates that. I am a fast casual restaurant GM myself so I totally understand the want to close up and get home. I normally wouldn't even order this late or close to close but I figured an hour and a half before was safe... Anyway, after getting my order I felt silly and maybe pranked? The Impossible sliders I received were all barely cooked (like maybe set on a grill for a couple seconds or microwaved even??) and totally PINK. 🤮 I understand they are plant based but they are still intended to be cooked... Totally looks raw and I completely lost my appetite. Spent almost $20, genuinely wish she would've just told me that she couldn't make the order and canceled it? Huge waste of money and time and this is long because I'm pissed off but I probably will not be...

About one time a year, for reasons unknown, I go to White Castle. My visit for 2019 was worth it.

I ordered a couple new things that I have not had before (the Chicken Ring and the Chicken Breast Slider). My total order was the Chicken Breast Slider meal, with a large fry and small Coke, and a 12-piece Chicken Ring (no sauce). Overall I was pleased with it all but the Chicken Breast Slider. I was not a fan of the cheese that they put on it; it tasted heavily processed and just had an off taste to it. The 12-piece Chicken Ring was better than expected. It was fun have nuggets that were shaped like onion rings.

My order took about seven minutes from the point of when I paid to when I received it. I was a little annoyed during that wait time because no one had told me anything about the wait; however, it was because all of it was being made fresh. After I found out that was the reason, I was okay with it.

Their Coke machine needs to be updated. The screen shows many options that are not available such as any of the Lemonade flavors. They were grayed out. Even when I selected Coca-Cola, I could not choose any other added flavors to it like cherry or vanilla. Those options were on the screen, but like the lemonades, they were also grayed out. They should update the machine to reflect what drinks they...

I arrived at the drive-thru and was greeted by an ugly attitude, like I was an inconvenience. I ordered the 10 pk cheese sliders and asked for no condiments, she rudely said "they don't come with that" the reason I ordered them that way was because my previous order a few months ago came with mustard. Any way when I pulled up to pay she was so so sweet and smiley, to the point that I thought it was a different person. I get home and all of my sliders were slathered in mustard! That rude little one was smiling because she intentionally had that extra mustard put on my sliders. Not to mention it took me 15 + minutes to receive my messed up order and i only had 1 car ahead of me. Also, no receipt given so I couldnt call their supervisor to complain. The owner needs to clean house or their business will suffer!! I will never, nor will my friends, ever go...
