Edit: Dropping my review to a single star. After filling out the survey they linked below, no one has contacted me regarding my experiences despite the fact it says they will. I've waited 2 weeks, plenty of turn around time for this. Shame to see that the total disregard for customer service extends beyond customer service in the restaurant.
If you have no intent to reply then please don't waste my time asking me to fill it the survey to maintain some public face of caring about what your customers think.
2 months ago this would've been an easy 5-star review. I've been coming to this location since it opened and the food, and service have always been impeccable.
A couple months ago, I ordered a rice bowl for pickup. I am in the habit of not checking my order when I go there because it had was always perfect. However I noticed this time the bowl was only about 2/3 of what was normally in it? I had known this dish to always be very consistent in its presentation, quantity and accuracy- but this time it was mostly lettuce, and very few other things. I called the restaurant to ask about it. I was polite, and it wasn't a call where I tried to get something for free. I was calling to say I wasn't really satisfied with my order, and that was extremely rare as I eat there eat least every other week. The woman on the phone did not offer and kind of apology, nor concern at my comments- instead she simply said "that is how the person making it decided to make it so that's what you got". I don't need to go any further here to really explain how poorly that was worded, regardless of intent.
Last month, I again ordered a rice bowl for pickup. I could tell the location was busy, but since the incident above had been a one-off situation I again didn't really bother to check my order and went back home. When I got home I found that not only did the rice bowl have chunks of lettuce smashed under the seal of the lid, but it was missing toppings and they didn't provide any dressing. It was made sloppy, and was inaccurate. I drove back, and was somewhat annoyed and showed them the item and explained it was missing olives and I didn't get any dressing and that there was lettuce smashed around the rim of the lid. I wasn't unreasonable, or angry- but yes I was a little annoyed. As with the incident above, no apology was issued. In fact the only thing asked was to confirmed what was missing. I was silently handed a container of dressing and a side of olives. Not sorry, no have a nice evening just disgusted stares as if I was causing them an issue.
You still make a great product, but your staff's ability to react to customer concerns is abysmal at best. They are indifferent, rude and unwilling to admit mistakes were made with anything they have prepared. I still return to this location occasionally, but I am no longer an avid and frequent customer as...
Read moreMy daughter and I love going out to lunch at the 23 mile rd. Location. There were two young ladies handling the calls and the orders. It was apparent that the staff was slammed with orders. Everyone was very professional other than one older lady preparing the food. There’s an area where you can see the staff that prepares the food. I was standing at the counter waiting to ask a question about my order. Out of nowhere this older lady began screaming and throwing to go orders over the counter at one of the girls taking the orders. She was beyond over the top. If you could have seen her facial expressions, the volume of her voice and her physical actions anyone would be in shock. I looked behind me to see if any of the other customers were watching what I was watching and EVERYONE waiting in line were watching this lady in utter disbelief. She was like Gordon Ramsey on Hells Kitchen. The young lady who took my order came back to me with my garlic sauce and I quietly said to her “that lady needs to chill out, she’s obnoxious” as for the girl that she was yelling at and throwing orders at her (literally throwing them over the counter) looked like she was on the verge of crying. It took 20 minutes for our order to arrive to my daughter and I. It was the girl who was getting yelled at that delivered our food to us. She was beyond apologetic for the wait time for our food. I then told her “you’re not the one that should be apologizing, I’m sorry for the way that the cook was treating and talking to you”. Prior to this…while my daughter and I were waiting for our food, we could still hear this lady yelling and complaining to the staff and we were seated at the booth farthest away from the counter where you place your orders. This lady owes the entire staff a huge apology. Kuddos to the man and two young women who remained professional and calm throughout the tornado that was besides them. I would never take the time to write such an in depth review unless I found it necessary for the management to be aware of this. On the bright side, the food was excellent and the staff was great beyond the one bad apple...
Read moreI have eaten here several times. The food is AMAZING, and the atmosphere is pretty good. Last night my husband and I went, and it was moderately busy. Many of the good tables with benches were dirty, so we had to sit by the door. A lady came in who was obviously ill with cancer and treatments. She started to move dirty plates and cups out of her way so she could sit in one of the comfortable chairs. One of the workers came over to her and pointed to ALL OF THE CLEAN tables she could have sat in and then angrily started removing the garbage from the table. And then she said, "Don't EVER do this again." I was shocked at how a worker would treat a customer, but also shocked at how the youth are so entitled to treat an obvious elder in our culture who is already struggling with her health. The worker then continued to clean a nearby table all the while GLARING at this woman and slamming chairs. Just unacceptable. The is why we have to say things like, "kindness matters", "be the kind in this world", "choose kindness". The customer woman took it all with humility, but it had to be so embarrassing to be treated like this in public and while she was waiting for the food that she had already paid for. I still gave 4 stars because the food is great, and the place is pretty clean, but the customer service is beyond anything horrible I have ever seen. She wasn't kind to us either, but I am starting to just expect rude employees when I am out now. This was just a whole new level. Please have a talk with your employees about how to treat customers and how a smile can change someone's day. Eating out is expensive and no one should be treated that way when spending...
