We have consistently experienced poor customer service from Rhonda, the manager. Each time we have placed a takeout order, she has been extremely rude and such an unpleasant demeanor and have encountered her rudeness the last three times we have ordered take-out, and every phone interaction with her has been unnecessarily difficult.
I have given her the benefit of the doubt multiple times, assuming she may have been having a bad day, but after four consecutive negative experiences, it’s clear this is a pattern. While I understand and respect the restaurant’s policy of not taking payment over the phone, Rhonda refuses to even provide an order total, which is frustrating.
Tonight, my daughter goes in to pick-up our take-out order, 10 minutes prior to the quoted time Rhonda provided and when my daughter politely inquired about it, Rhonda snapped, “You only ordered 16 minutes ago. No, it’s not ready,” in a condescending and rude tone.
To make matters worse, our most recent order—nearly $100 worth of food—was inedible. The hot browns were so tough and burnt that we couldn’t cut through them and had to throw them away. The wedge salad consisted of old, brown lettuce. The side of the evening was burnt to the point that some pieces were inedible. The pasta was clumped together in a sticky ball, the broccoli was old, and my son’s twice-baked potato was so overcooked and tough that it couldn’t be cut through.
When I called to address the food quality, I asked to speak with the General Manager. Rhonda immediately stated that she was the manager and repeatedly dodged my request to speak to the GM. She refused to provide his full name and was dismissive of my concerns, only willing to take my information for a callback.
This experience was beyond unacceptable. Not only was the food subpar, but the customer service was unprofessional and outright rude. We have dined at Bell House frequently, but after this, we will not be returning. It is disappointing to be treated this way consistently.
I do NOT recommend and will not...
Read moreFive star cuisine, five star service! This is one of the most amazing restaurants my husband and I have ever been to. We started out with the fried green tomatoes which were perfectly paired with a ranch horseradish sauce. The sauce added to the fried green tomatoes without taking away from their flavor. Our Kentucky mules made by our server, Tammy arrived and were absolutely delicious! I had the crispy rosemary chicken which was perfectly lightly breaded without being heavy. My husband ordered the creamy Cajun shrimp pasta. The executive chef, Brent, came out personally to let us know that the kitchen had run out of linguini and could plate it shortly with angel hair but was more than happy to make more linguini and simply wanted to inform us that it would be a bit longer to do so. This tells us 3 things:
My expectations were fairly high and they surpassed them! I had the Filet beef tips with mushroom demi glaze, mushrooms and Italian veggies as my sides, I'm not easily impressed, but everything on my plate was cooked perfectly, flavorful, and the flavors are not common by any means!! The Italian veggies are the best I've ever eaten in my life! Of course the filet beef tips were just right, and I mixed the mushrooms in with the beef tips and created another flavor that was also very very good! I can't say enough! We love it here and we'll be back for sure!! My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass. It was cooked perfectly, flavorful, flaky and just right! The Asparagus was steamed and seasoned perfectly! And the Rosemary roasted Yukon potatoes were perfect! The dessert! The Amaretto chocolate cake with creamy vanilla ice cream was Heavenly! It is warmed so the ganache starts to melt and then they put the vanilla bean ice cream on so it's melting into the cake as well. The coffee added a dimension of flavor to the already divine cake my wife said. Stop in you'll be glad you did! Call for...
