Waited for months till this place finally opened after constant delays, only to be met with utter disappointment. Over priced and under seasoned food, dreadfully slow service and an overall lackluster experience. Asked to speak to someone in charge was given a number to some Chris guy. Called and was hung up on by him twice before I could even speak only for him to call my cell back 3 hours later after I had went to bed. Doubt he'd have done much from what I hear he's a real tool to the young staff. This is exactly what we don't need hear in town, another hole in the wall eatery with overpriced bar food and their whole mission statement backed on the "cool hipster craft cocktails" 🤦🏼🙄. Not interested in a second try and front staffs attitudes and lack of attention solidified to me they weren't interested in my families business either. Was not at all busy and still ignored. This place will neveralw it for the long haul here in Shelbyville. We have enough sub par sandwich bars. Don't waste your time on this cornball place. The owner Chris...
Read moreI’m glad to see Parlay has come to Shelbyville- we’ve been in desperate need of more places to eat and gather with friends!
We typically sit at the bar so I can’t speak for dining room service but Jessie, Sarah, Kia and Lexie ALWAYS make for a fun experience! They immediately greet us and start working on our drinks. We always feel welcomed here.
Paige, who said she is typically a server, worked at bar the other day. She was very friendly and attentive, too.
They have some unique cocktails- several of my friends love the gatorade drinks! Creative but a little too sweet for me.
My go-to is the SMASH BURGER with the gluten free (GF) bun. (Apparently people were asking for GF buns- they listened to their customers and started ordering them!)
We’ve become friends with the owner, Chris, as well. Very nice guy that really care about his staff and customers. He’s always there working his business and cutting up...
Read moreA neighbor and I went to their soft opening today and tried their smash burger and Cajun fries. This is now our favorite burger spot in Shelbyville! Smash burger was two delicious 80/20 fresh ground beef cooked to perfection with grilled onions, tomato, and lettuce (I scrapped the tomato as it’s out of season). It comes with “Parlay sauce” but I’m always nervous about house sauces, and opted for only mayo, with the sauce on the side. Turns out the sauce was very good—great for dipping fries. Fries were double-fried and crispy. Wait staff was friendly and the owner walked the tables checking on patrons. Overall, great experience and we will bring others here. “If you build it (and have great food),...
