I have become very disappointed at Chuy's service there staff training must be nonexistent or is either not understood and addressed at the management level. The quality of the food Chuy's servers is good but when a customer comes in and orders Fajitas and the food comes out to the table it's important that the server has all the items that go along with the item they ordered so the customer can start to eat he or she's dinner when delivered to the table. On more than one occasion myself and my wife patronize at the Chuy's on the I45 feeder in the Woodlands a month or so ago we ordered lunch and there's no eating utensils on the table when the food came out we had to ask the server to please bring us some eating utensils while our food was getting cold as the server took their time to bring us our utensils. Now to day 10-28 we came in to eat a dinner I ordered fajitas again and the waitress brings me beautiful steaming hot fajitas and no tortillas and it gets better as she let us our food she said "let me get your tortillas" first mistake PLEASE DON'T BRING THE CUSTOMER THERE PLATE WITHOUT ALL THE NECESSARY ITEMS. I already waited for my dish and that's fine no problem but please don't make me wait again. Lastly it gets better! As the waitress said she was going to get me what have should have arrived with my plate she stops and takes the order of the table of the people sitting next to us WOW I guess it was forgotten that quickly. Once she went to get me the tortillas she again stopped to chat with another hostess. When she final arrived my wife was a 1/3" completed with her meal I told the waitress that my service was unacceptable and to take my food back I normally don't get mad in these situations as I know how hard it can be to wait or waitress and as a customer to be patient but because this has happened on more the a couple occasions it not acceptable anymore. The manager has in the pass comp our food but I'm done with the free meal I don't go out to get a free meal I go out to dine to get a good meal with decent service so I can tip the server good for a good dining experience. Chuy's you will not be getting our business again for awhile until this get addressed. I will be also calling the corporate office to explain my...
Read moreLet me start with I love Chuy’s not ROACHES ! Being from NM it’s a must for Hatch peppers. I frequent the one in Austin when there and the one closest to me in Pasadena, it’s the best one. I have been to this location several times as well, when attending a concerts at the woodlands. Sad to say I will not return to this one. We were seated at a booth with drinks and chips and dips when a HUGE Roach ( every bit of 3 inches long ) crawled up on our table, wing stretched out like he owned the place, he was a resident, not moving fast at all! Girls will be girls, We freaked , yelled and jumped out the booth. It continued crawling up the wall behind a picture right at our table! Once we found someone to tell them what the commotion was about , a employee climbed in our booth and tried squish him behind the picture. He was unable to. They expected us to remain seated there. We had to let them know we were moving, totally grossed out we moved clear to the other side of the room to a table in the middle , not next to any walls, to wait for our food that we had already ordered . WE had to moved all our drinks and chips and dips , plates ect. to new table, No help from any staff. As we were eating, on ANOTHER wall next to some other customers ANOTHER BIG Roach made its way down the wall from behind another picture, to under that booth. The people at that booth moved too after telling the staff about it. We were never saw a manager, No apology, No nothing. They sat more customers in the corner right under the picture with the HUGE roach behind it! Now on edge, not really wanting to eat the rest of our meals, we asked for the check, thinking we would see a manager now…. NOPE! Looking around at place the floors were dirty , under the booths did not look like they had been mopped in a long time. Walls along booth tables were dirty as well. I’m sure there was lots more roaches behind more pictures, in and under booths and tables. We paid our whole bill and left, never to return to this location. (Picture included of booth we were at, red line is where the roach traveled to the picture and yellow arrow, the new customers sitting under...
Read moreIt had been a while since I visited Chuy’s and now I remember why. I guess to be fair, all was well until the interaction with the manager came to the table. Zero customer service skills whatsoever and had no intention on actually listening to an answer for a question that he asked in the beginning. What would be the purpose of asking a question if you don’t care to listen to the answer?
Chuy’s Facebook posting for National Tequila Day is was brought us in however when we received our bill we didn’t have the happy hour deals on the ticket. I spoke to the waiter to inquire about the queso and margarita specials to see if this was a mistake on our part or the system to which Jay was unaware so he did ask us to allow him to go ask. Our table was then approached by a manager which I am told his name is Jeanaro which I am sure I am not spelling correctly. While trying to explain what I saw online, versus what was on our tickets he kept immediately wanting to cut me off, and then began getting very upset and trying to be intimidating to which for sure did not go over well for me.
He tried explaining that this special was NOT all day however the post was clearly saying the specials were ALL DAY. If this was not something being honored at this location, he could have easily explained that to us without being confrontational about it, to which I am not sure at this point he’s capable of.
Although in the end this manager felt like he rectified the situation, in my opinion he did not. When dining out, I can pay for what I order. Taking $5 off my bill was not the answer. Help a customer understand the specials and pricing as asked. Don’t just assume customers want money off a bill to attempt to make them “happy.”
What a way to ruin a dining experience for a party of 5 that would potentially come back to patronize this establishment. I mentioned a few times that I could not believe the place was empty but after this I completely see why it is. Which sucks because I love patronizing my Shenandoah businesses. Do better Chuy’s. Or should I say Jeanaro...
