Showed up on Sunday night. Restaurant was pretty empty. Atmosphere was cool and they were playing good music. We ordered lamb dinners and an appetizer of fries. Fries were excellent and fresh. Lamb was supposed to come with a soup, Syrian bread, rice, peppers, and garlic sauce. When our food was brought out, we only received soup and a single lamb shank with nothing else on the plate. Server didn’t think a thing of it. I mentioned that we were supposed to get rice and other things. 10 minutes later we were brought tiny little bowls of rice with cups of around 3-4 single banana peppers. Still no bread. We ask for the bread again as it is usually a highlight of a lamb dinner. She mentioned that she wasn’t sure why we were missing so many things and that she would go get it. 15 minutes later she asked if we were ready for the check and never mentioned the bread. For a $22 dinner entree getting a single lamb shank, a half cup of rice, and soup was pretty laughable. Food wasn’t seasoned at all either. Server was clueless as well. Usually I don’t blame the server but in this case it was negligence on the kitchen and the servers. What cook sends out a single lamb shank with nothing else? Definitely won’t be coming back...
Read moreI ordered the fries with GRILLED chicken because I have celiacs, they bring out beer battered fries with breaded chicken and tell me that’s what the menu says. I double checked the menu to make sure, it says grilled chicken. if the fries are beer battered it should STATE for people who have allergies. and to top if all off when I mention NICELY to the waitress that I cannot eat the meal because it has grilled chicken and beer battered fries unlike the menu states, she tells me the menu says it’s breaded and beer battered (it doesn’t) then goes and talks about me and my requests negatively about me, turns out my waitress was talking about us negatively to the MANAGER, in the dining room, right in front of us. so unprofessional. then the manager then tells me “I didn’t know it said grilled on the menu and the fries are beer battered so celiacs can’t have that”. well then the MENU SHOULD REFLECT THAT. unprofessional and disgusting customer service. Alaina was the only professional personnel in...
Read moreSearched Google for a restaurant while in New Castle. Came across this place and gave it a try. The outside of the place isn't anything fancy, but it is clean inside. Our server Jeffrey was super friendly and very knowledgable of the items on the menu. I has the hot sausage sandwich, my son had onion rings and boneless chicken bites, my wife had a pork sandwich. My sandwich was very big. The bread was super fresh! Bread makes a sandwich and this was a great start. The sausage is locally made and had some zing to it which i like and it came out like a patty. It was super good with peppers and onions on it! My wife loved her pork sandwich and had some of my son's onion rings which were top notch too! She commented that the sweet tea was the best she has ever had! This coming from someone that worked in the South for years! We will stop there again if we are in the area! Jeffrey is a good worker! Kudos for having someone competent working for...
