QDOBA Mexican Eats — Restaurant in Sheridan

My husband and I decided to eat here for lunch while visiting over in Sheridan... normally I love Qdoba anywhere I go, it is some of my favorite quick foods to get but unfortunately our experience was not very good at this one. We both got bowls, mine was fine which I get a little bit of this and that... but when my husband got his which is just rice, meat and cheese it was like soup there was so much grease on the bottom making all the rice soggy and then we also got chips and queso but I watched the employee scrap the bottom of this hardened queso bin and put it in my container with it being chunky and hard, Then proceed to put other queso on top of that... that was very unappetizing. Then when we went to sit down to eat, there was some loud teenager's talking to one of the employees (another teenager) shouting from behind the food line to them having a full on conversation while talking so loud. I'm not one to usually care about that but we were already displeased with our food and then you add some people being inconsiderate of others that definitely could have just walked over to have a conversation with each other not shouting across a room. All in all it was an okay place to eat. My husband took a couple bites of his food and threw it in the trash and I was right behind him unfortunately. Hopfully next Qdoba we eat...

UPDATED IN 2023 Unfortunately, this location has become a pigstey. Food is allowed to collect all over the floor and all over the counter. Cooking pans sit on the floor. We noticed this the last few times we came for lunch and hoped it was a fluke. It isn't. They are not understaffed (there were 7 people, including the manager behind the counter). The manager created chaos for us and the young man helping us by stepping ahead of the line to serve another customer. Pure chaos and we will no longer frequent this location. Oh, and they are no longer serving brown rice.

ORIGINAL REVIEW 2022 Always clean QDOBA. We are here for the summer and like the option of healthy fast food. We do wish the company would use healthier oils but overall this is a good, quick option for lunch/dinner. We like the bowls and typically share since a regular bowl is too large for one of us. I had a really poor experience at checkout. I asked for the military discount showing my ID. Qdoba usually has a military discount at least the ones I frequent. The employee was super rude and said “I don’t think we have one of those.” I asked if he was sure and he didn’t respond and just said the total again. I paid and asked for water cups. He set one out but at this point then he seemed like I bothered him by asking for the military discount because when I asked for a second water cup he made this sign and sort of flicked another one at me. I get it, a young employee working who probably doesn’t want to be there, but that employee ultimately represents the store. I didn’t understand the attitude I got by asking for something that in Laramie, Cheyenne, Fort Collins and Greeley stores have. Also what leads me to leave to leave a review was there was not a clean table in the store and trash cans were overflowing. Food was good but seemed substantially smaller...
