I really hate leaving reviews with complaints, but Iâve got to be honest about my experiences. So far, I've been here three times, and it's been a bit of a rollercoaster. The first time was fantasticâwings cooked to perfection, just the right amount of sauce, and fries that were spot on. I thought I found my new go-to spot. But then came round two: I ordered the potato with brisket, and let's just say the potato was auditioning for the role of a rock, while the brisket was, well, a little tough. Still, it tasted alright, so I rolled with it.
By the third visit, though, the brisket had taken its transformation to the next levelâI'm pretty sure I was served beef jerky disguised as brisket. Two very thin pieces for $12? Come on, guys. I had to ask the waiter for a different cut because I couldnât cut it or tear it apart without feeling like I was prepping for an arm-wrestling match. Ten minutes later (mind you, there were only two other parties in the restaurant), the waitress comes back and says, âThe chef says it's all that tough,â and offers me another meat. At that point, I had to pass. If you're selling brisket, you should know how to smoke it properly!
On the bright side, the potato salad and cowboy beans were solid, and the spicy-sweet sauce was a winner. They did comp our pizza because of a mix-up and a long wait, so props for that. Oh, and a heads up: don't be surprised if you're left standing for 5-10 minutes before being seated, even if there are just a couple of other parties in the restaurant. I guess they like to keep...

Read moreWhen looking around, the place looks like an average sports bar. There is a jukebox near the entrance but the touch screen uncalibrated and even when you request the song you want, you can barely hear it over the TV playing ESPN. The food was average. It took a while for my cheese sticks to arrive and when I did eat them, they were pretty good. It's not like your usual cheese stick because it's cooked in this beer batter and is served with Billy's special marinara, which is easily the best part. The cheese stick on its own is fine, it's even better when dipped in the marinara. Although, the flavor starts to lose its wow after a while. Before leaving, I had to use the bathroom and I could still the TV audio clearly. Also I nearly forgot to mention that the waiter was a newbie as he constantly forgot or misremembered my order and when I asked him on why my cheese sticks were taking so long, he said that the kitchen wanted to make sure that no one else wanted cheese sticks. Overall, the restaurant can be best described as "Bowling Alley food". It's just average food for a somewhat decent price. Some suggestions are to improve the overall service and to prioritize the jukebox audio over the TV audio because A.) People have to pay at least a dollar to request a song and B.) Not everyone watches ESPN and there's subtitles that can be enabled.
If you plan on eating here, enter with low expectations and try the cheese sticks, the marinara is really good. If I could, I would add .5 to the rating for the cheese...
