Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Shiloh

I came here on a break from work and I was in and outs in round about 6 minutes. Their ice cream is top of the line, and probably the best ice cream you will ever taste in your life. It’s rich and they have so many flavors. Yes, you will pay a ton but it is always worth it for me because the ice cream is just that good. I always get half cotton candy, half gooey butter. (Not mixed but I love both flavors but i don’t want two ice-creams so they’ll do two flavors if you want it!) Okay, here is the reason for the star I took away. I have grown up going to cold stone. I always loved the employees because sometimes they sang and they were always so nice to me. When I went in today, there were 4-5 employees behind the counter, and I was standing there for two minutes before someone said anything to me. I saw a mental “whose-gonna-help-her” between the employees. The person who served me didn’t look happy to be serving me either. Cold stone is cute, clean, and absolutely delicious, but if only the customer service was as golden as...

I give it three stars because of today's interaction. I've been going to Cold Stone for years, and have always had a great experience, but tonight was completely different.

After trying a specific flavor the night before, I decided to have an encore of my creation.

To make a long story short, not only did the associate argue about the size I purchased...which I'll reiterate was the EXACT same as my prior visit...but the young lady left half of my toppings, of which I paid extra for...on the creation board to be swept off into the waste bin. Not a few...half...

I'm always willing to be gracious, but tonight left a sour taste in my mouth.

I've been in customer service for over 20 years. I know when it gets close to closing time, our zeal may deteriorate. However, we have to remember that we are serving the customer. While I believe the customer isn't always right, at least always make an attempt to complete the paid transaction.

This was my second visit to this location and I was not pleased. First, you can see in the photo that the $5.50 small shake is missing about 2 oz of product. There is a dome on the cup for a reason!! Second, the employee did not ask me if I was a rewards member or offer for me to enter my phone number to get points for the order, so I missed out on that. Solutions...use enough ice cream so that it fills the cup to the rim before adding the whipped topping (the reason for the domed top). Then give the customer the opportunity to gather rewards points to afford coming back to this overpriced ice cream parlor. But seeing as this is my last visit, you can...
