Bridal Parlour — Local services in Shiloh

I only post reviews when my experience was extremely good or extremely bad. I have also only posted three reviews in my life, this one included, and they were all during the process of bridal gown shopping. My experience at other stores was abhorrent. I went to a dozen different bridal shops looking for a dress and each place left me more defeated. I was a number on a screen and they only cared about making a sale. I was shown gowns WAY outside of my price range even with an established budget. Many locations forgot that I was even coming and had to rustle up a staff member to assist me. I was encouraged to buy a gown much too small for me because "you'll be dieting anyway". I felt pressured to make a decision and buy that day at every single place I went to. I could go on and on about how terrible my experience was at all of the many, MANY bridal stores I made appointments at but that isn't the purpose of this review. My experience with Heather at Bridal Parlour was the complete opposite of those other locations. There was absolutely no pressure to purchase a gown. She remembered intimate details from every interaction that we had. She only showed me gowns within my price range. At times it felt like she was reading my mind when I would comment on things I liked or disliked about gowns. She would rush to go find me something that fit that description. Don't even get me started on her extensive inventory, both in gown selection and sizing. My only regret is that I didn't start with her. I wasted so much time and SO MANY tears. I should have known better, two of my close friends purchased a gown from Bridal Parlour and had the same glowing review of Heather and her inventory. Had the best experience at Bridal Parlour! I was pretty nervous going into it, Bridal Parlour was the first bridal shop I went to so didn't know what to expect. I was interested in the designer, Made With Love and was drawn to Bridal Parlour because of that. Little did I know it would end up being the best experience.

As soon as we walked in the door, Heather welcomed me and my family/friends with open arms. She had dresses from my lookbook that I "liked" already pulled aside and she had gone through my Pinterest board to get a feel for what I liked and had pulled additional dresses based on that. She explained the process and was so helpful without being overbearing. The dress selection at Bridal Parlour is amazing and the dresses were such high quality.

As I was trying on dresses, Heather would ask what I liked and didn't like and would pull additional dresses for me to try on based on that. As I tried on dresses and said parts I didn't like she would confirm in her notes, different changes we could make to the dress based on the designer. She never promised anything without double checking and I so appreciated that.

I never once felt pressure from Heather to say yes to a dress (I knew I'd be a person that would want to think on it) and Heather even said that she's a big proponent of "sleeping on it," which I did for 1.5 weeks! The other bridal shop I went to I did not have this same experience at all which made me appreciate Heather and Bridal Parlour 100 times more! I ended up emailing and calling Heather after a couple times to confirm the fit of the dress I wanted and Heather was again, so helpful and came up with a solution to the issue I was having. Cannot recommend Bridal Parlour enough and am so thankful...

We got married on 10/9/2021 and so I wanted to share a quick updated review after the wedding...I cannot recommend visiting Bridal Parlour to try on (and purchase!) your wedding gown enough.

The owner, Heather, provided me the best customer service I have ever received throughout the gown selection process. She is kind, understanding, and you can tell that she not only knows her stuff about each and every designer and dress she carries, but she is also the best hype-girl you could ask for.

She went above and beyond during each of the 5 times I visited Bridal Parlour to make me feel comfortable, answer my questions and work with the designers to make sure I got just what I was looking for.

My questions were answered quickly and I never felt like I was out of the loop when it came to updates on my dress and delivery date. She even gave me a recommendation on an alterations specialist who has worked with gowns from my dress designer in the past - and she did an amazing job.

Whether you're local to the STL area or live out of state, make the trip to Bridal Parlour to visit Heather and all her beautiful gowns, you will not be disappointed!

Heather at Bridal Parlour is incredible. Super sweet and bubbly, she made me feel like every dress I tried on was made for me, and then helped me hone in on 'the one' after multiple visits.
