Do not spend your actual money and only go here if you have free comp from the casino! Always have issues with service when we go and this time around just had the most outrageous experience. Ordered the steak medium rare and it came out well done. I even tried a bite because I was so hungry but it was so dry it was getting stuck in my throat. When I showed our waitress, she said they’d fix it by bringing me out a new steak. 30 minutes go by, everyone else at our table is finished eating, and then, finally, my steak comes out. The restaurant wasn’t busy so I don’t know why it would take that long for the replacement for a medium rare steak to come out. It’s medium well to well done, again. Check the photo. The waitress watched me cut into it and told me to try it because otherwise I would have to wait again for the staff to cook another plate. At this point, I’m starved and two people at our table left because they were done and had to leave so I took a bite. Dry steak as to be expected with a well done steak. The glisten in the photo is just from the butter it’s drenched in so don’t be fooled. I told her I just can’t eat a steak cooked like that and she kept trying to convince me to eat it or I’d have to wait again. Then when I insisted I couldn’t she said they “read the temperature on the steak as medium rare. We finish off the steak in the oven to melt the butter so maybe because the steak is thin it cooked it more.” Yes.. that’s what happens when you add more heat.. We are being cordial at this point but things took a turn when she looked me in the eye and told me that the steak was a medium. First, the steak is “medium rare” because they “checked the temp” before sticking it in the oven and now, it’s a “medium” (with barely to no pink present mind you) and that should be good enough for me? She was providing us with no reasonable solution so we requested to speak to the manager. Couple more minutes pass by and we are met with one of the casino managers which we could tell right off the bat it would be an issue. He told us that they did nothing wrong because they checked the temperature of the steak and it was medium rare. The only thing they could do was cook it again and give us the steak at a DISCOUNT. First, why would I have to wait EVEN MORE to have them cook it again a THIRD time which they’ve displayed they canNOT do and then PAY for the steak at only a DISCOUNT? We are nice people but we were FUMING at his smug offer. We requested the manager of the RESTAURANT to speak to because what does a casino manager know about food service? Anyone with eyes can see it’s not even CLOSE to medium rare. He said the manager wasn’t here, took the plate, and left. We had to wave down another casino manager to try to get out off here. I’m starved, dumbfounded, and just wanted to leave so I could get food somewhere else. This second casino manager said the same thing, “they clocked it at medium rare” which is what the first girl told us they did prior to sticking it in the oven and they could only cook the meal again or get another meal. For all the time spent and wasted while being starved was ridiculous so we said we wanted it all comped so we can leave and never come back. We were just so pissed from the weird interactions thus far. He responds with attitude, “well how much was the bill?!” We laughed and said, “WE DON’T KNOW!!! WE’VE BEEN SITTING HERE TRYING TO GET THE MEAL I ORDERED!” He storms off to check the bill and comes storming back and said “have a nice day” while knocking things over trying to clean the table with attitude. Casinos only care about money, that I know, which explains the weird, stingy interactions with the casino managers but the restaurant seriously needs food industry managers desperately. They also need to consult with the chef that curated the menu because the recipe/instructions were messed up somewhere along the way or the casino cheaped out on the steaks they are ordering because they are way too thin to be finished off...
Read moreNew spot definitely worth checking out and its kid-friendly! The entrance to the restaurant is just inside the main casino entrance doors to the far left - separate entrance from actual casino floor.
We were excited to try this new restaurant with a craving for a juicy burger and that is exactly what we got and more! Wasn't sure if I'd find an espresso martini, but they delivered with their full bar. The portobello Swiss truffle mayo burger was unbelievable. The bun was textured, buttered and toasted, the burger was cooked to a perfect medium as ordered, and the truffle was amazingly fragrant with the taste to match. Ugh, so good! Served with their 'sidewinders' which if unfamiliar like me, are twisty jo jo's and delish.
Tip: make reservations on weekends just in case (Friday evenings - Saturday) we made ours on OpenTable which the casino website will direct you as well. We made a 530p reservation at 520p and when we got there walk in parties had an 1.5 hr wait.
Our server Bryan was astounding. He noticed we hadn't been helped after being seated for 10 minutes, despite not being in his section. He double checked and the server for our section hadn't arrived for work yet, so he took on our table and provided amazing service! We will definitely be back, and honestly can't think of a place that compares to the quality of burgers we had here. (There were a lot of pizzas being ordered around us, and look forward to trying those from their wood fired...
Read moreIf I was only rating the food at this restaurant, I would give it one star but because the restaurant seemed pretty clean I gave it two. The food was a huge disappointment. My son ordered a steak and onion rings. The onion rings were fine, but the steak was so grizzly, and undercooked, and covered with a slimy gravy. The taste was awful. I ordered a bowl of French onion soup that appeared to look tasty, but was rather taste less. There was no flavor, no salt, no herbs, the bread in the soup was white, cheap bread, the onions were old, the cheese was not the correct cheese to be put on French onion soup. It was the worst French onion soup I have ever had and I have had lots of bowls of French onion soup’s at many restaurants. My husband had the deep fried cod and french fries. His biggest complaint was that the grease that the food was deep-fried in must’ve been old because it tasted like old grease. I ordered the chop chop Asian chicken salad, which was supposed to have a soy ginger dressing on it. My first bite was that of bitter lettuce. I might’ve had a quarter of a chicken breast cut up into small pieces and scattered around amongst almost what seemed to be a whole bag of lettuce. Again, rather tasteless. The staff seemed friendly enough and met our refreshment needs , however after spending almost $100 for what was supposed to be a good meal we had to go to Walmart and buy snacks because we couldn’t finish our meals there. Take your money...
