My wife and I have patronized this restaurant for several years. Last night i called five times after work, each call went directly to voicemail. I opened the app and the first option offered for online ordering was Clover. I placed my order, submitted my payment and left work for the 25 minute drive to the restaurant. Clover told me to arrive at a specified time and I arrived at that time. I showed my order information to a young woman at the register and she seemed confused. She excused herself and went to the back only to return to tell me “I’m told we don’t accept orders on that platform anymore.” I told her that my card had been charged and asked if they were going to be refund my card? She said “you have to call them for a refund.” I did reorder the meal because my wife and I enjoy the food from this establishment. I believe in this day and age customer service is everything. This is a poor example of customer service. On a positive note, I opened the app this morning and Clover no longer appears as an...
Read moreMy mood was totally ruined for the day when i left this restaurant. First time in my life me and my wife experienced a very mean attitude towards us when we went for a sunday lunch. Firstly, the host lady made a mean look at us, when i asked a table for two and gave us the nearest table by the entrance door. The restaurant was half empty. Secondly RAPHAEL, the waiter had a similar attitude. Initially he brought a completely wrong order for my wife - Tilapia instead of Tropical salad. I thought it was a language barrier, but still... I didn't want to be impolite and agreed to what he brought us, but later on he himself he just ignored me completely several times when i called him or asked him anything. He himself offered coffee refills etc., but never served us with anything else, nor paid any attention to our inquiries at all afterwards and just brought the check. I still do not understand what could we do wrong to them, but my dining experience was completely ruined for the first...
Read moreJust drove 826 miles from Jacksonville, FL to Shippensburg, PA and needed dinner. El Mariachi was right by our hotel and rated high. We decided to give it a try.
When we arrived (8:30 on a Wednesday) there was only one or two other tables eating. No one was there. Completely dead.
We were sat right away. Our server was super friendly and very attentive. The owner even refilled our chips and salsa and brought our food out. Overall the service was excellent.
At our table we had a combo of quesadillas and tacos, while my son had a cheeseburger and fries. Each item was cooked perfect. Honestly, the food was really really good. Best Mexican we’ve had in a while and the burger and fries were also really good!
We left dumbfounded that El Mariachi wasn’t packed. Excellent food and service. We’ll worth it if you haven’t been. Whether local or traveler, El Mariachi is worth your time.
Shippensburg better appreciate this one. Back home with food and service this good they’d have...
