Scout Wine Merchants — Restaurant in Shorewood

I rented the special events room at SCOUT for a celebration for which I expected about 30 people. As it turned out, we had 35 guests. The special events room at SCOUT was perfect for our celebration for many reasons! First, it is an elegant room with wall murals, tables and chairs, a big flat-screen TV that we used do show a video. It was the perfect size for a gathering of 35 people. Second, the appetizer boards provided by SCOUT were varied and all delicious. Third, the wait staff did an excellent job keeping the appetizer boards coming and serving up the fine wine that my guests enjoyed from the vast inventory of wines at SCOUT. Finally, I enjoyed working with the owner of SCOUT, Emily Laga, who was very conscientious in ensuring that every detail of the event was covered. There are many other ways in which SCOUT was the perfect venue for our event, such as the ample free parking; the hip, safe neighborhood in which SCOUT is located; and the fact that guests who don't want to leave when the special event ends can simply move to the wine bar at SCOUT to continue socializing and enjoying SCOUT's amazing selection of fine wines. In short, I can't imagine a finer, more elegant venue for a special event for 35 or fewer guests than that...

This is one of my favorite spaces for hosting mid-sized gatherings. I had my birthday party here with 40-ish ladies, and we had an absolute blast. The space allows for some seated areas and also standing room for people to mingle and move around.

I also hosted an afternoon bridal shower event for a family member in the same private room with about 25 people. It turned out just perfect! We really liked the space because it has a cozy and warm feel and had character with all the wall decor, cute fireplace, and details. We hardly had to do any of our own decorations at all as it felt special enough as it was!

The staff were super easy to work with and helped plan the food and drink options. They helped us with the table/chair layouts on the day-of and we were able to focus on setting up the games and favors. All the guests had such...

We love this gem we found! Classy, cozy and so comforting all in one!! The environment here is just amazing. I absolutely love the set up and how simple the menu was. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff indeed. This was actually our first time here after getting our DINO tattoos, and we surly enjoyed our wino DINO time. Finally came back again the second time for our 5 bottles of Passivento, which is our absolute favorite from here btw and again, it was great!! We’ve searched high and low and this is the only place here near us that carries it. Looks like this will be our new wino DINO spot!!!
