When our family decided to remodel the first floor of our house, we were both excited and intimidated. We had just bought our “forever” home and we wanted to make it perfect. I considered trying to do it myself or using design services offered by retail stores. Then I luckily found Stonehouse. I was worried as a young family we were not quite ready for an interior design service, but Anna talked me through the process over the phone before our first meeting. When we met for the first time, we discussed the scope of the project, the timeline and the budget. They were very transparent about what each step would entail. At the end of our first meeting I felt very comfortable signing a contract with them.

Then came the fun part! Anna, Erin (our project manager) and other members of the team worked hard to understand our style. I answered some questionnaires and made pinterest boards. At the design presentation they laid out their entire plan. I was absolutely blown away with their attention to detail. They chose furniture, paint colors, art, rugs, and even cute containers to store toys! They redesigned the layout of our home to make it more functional. They also sourced custom builtins for our living room, mudroom and library. I did not entirely understand what our design style was when we started the project, but they nailed it. It was very personal and my husband and I were so grateful for the time they spent making all of these choices.. I didn't change one thing that they picked out.

The project was completed on schedule. Erin and the team kept us updated through each step of the process. I did nothing to coordinate the completion of the project. I simply ok’d calendar invites and the rest was taken care of.

The day of the “final reveal” was absolute magic! The house was styled to perfection with plants and picture frames. I loved it even more than I thought I would. My favorite room is my library in the front of the house which has a modern leather couch with a cool built in black bookshelf! Every day in this house I am thankful for the time and effort Stonehouse put into this project. It has truly been a dream come true. I am looking forward to hosting my entire family for Christmas dinner this year in my new dining room!
