I have had food from here 3 times. The oxtail pho is good however the service is not well at all! The 1st time I ate in the restaurant me and my family was given service after the family that came in behind us. The Food was good this day however. The 2nd time I went I picked up food and lady was licking her gloves while handling to go orders which is gross and she had an attitude after I asked for extra chili oil even though I paid for it and they only put one in the bag. They also did not include any of the veggies on the side for that pick up order so I had only broth and noodles. The 3rd time I ordered online again and made sure to call and ask for TWO containers of chili oil and to make sure my veggies were included and the man on the phone also had an attitude telling me everything is already included. However I specified I wanted TWO chili oil containers and to make sure my veggies were in the bag this time. He hung up. I called back and explained I was hung up on and just wanted to make sure my order was going to be correct and which he replied “yea yea yea I already told them” in a hostile tone and then hung up again. Luckily my order was placed through door dash so I was able to get refunded this time as they still did not include extra chili oil when I called and the meat was super fatty. Will not be...
Read moreBest shaking beef pho in Richmond,I have been a long time customer & this place executes great on consistency,if you're looking for a soothing bowl of goodness then this is the place for you,the service is good, the pho comes out in a relatively short time but don't be mistaken the quality is there & you will taste it as soon as you try some of their superb broth, once again I highly recommend the shaking beef pho!!
Edit:Not sure what happened but on my most recent trip on October 11th Broth seemed watered down, noticed the place appears to have changed ownership, hopefully this was just an off day & they haven't cut corners or changed the recipe for the broth.
Revised edit January 5th 2024 I've been coming to this establishment for close to a decade & today was probably my worst experience, was not served water at the beginning of my visit or offered any other drink, food showed up & I had to ask the server for water,he did bring water but never came back to check on the table except to drop off my bill halfway through my meal,I asked for more water & he thought I was paying my bill, felt rushed & unwanted & that's too bad because I've spent hundreds of dollars in this establishment over the years,I may have to take my business to Pho Tay Do instead...
Read moreWhen I first walked in I was expecting a traditional Vietnamese restaurant based off of the name. Instead It looked more like a place you would go out for dinner, Americanized, jazz music, one of the owners was even white. They had a fully loaded bar, I unfortunately didn't get to my own fault( to early and on work hours. The menu was very small and very over priced. I ordered a number 13; beef noodle soup with flank, meatballs, tendon and tripe. The bowl didn't have much meat in it at all, and tendon pieces so small it's like it never existed. The bowl was about 10 dollars. From what I am used to I've paid around 7 to 8 dollars for a much larger bowl, the broth was really salty. The only thing that surprised me was the bubble tea, I ordered taro. The drink amazed me! Wasn't just regular flavoring like I'm used to getting, they used actual taro root. What I also experienced was over hearing them speak about possibly selling the place. It's truly unfortunate because it's hard to find Vietnamese food on the east coast and this place does have potential if they use more ingredients and have more traditional style Vietnamese food, and if they could change the name or get rid of the American stuff because it's hard to tell what they're...
