Bayou Thunder — Restaurant in Shreveport

Sounds was not very good. Our group likes to sing not listen to a bunch a fill music. Karaoke standard is about 4 minutes per song. 12 singers takes almost 2 hours that is about 10 minutes a singer. Takes too long waiting to sing. Other places have better rotation and better sounds. 4 minutes a person average is about 14 or 15 an hour. This is great karaoke rotation.

the sound was very loud, no bass (coffee can sound) and the operator (black hair bad dye job) sets little or no effects. Some effects are required for some songs and no attempt was made to match the song. He was very unfriendly and not well greeting people.

We went on a Sunday and on a week night and there were different people doing the karaoke but about the same difference. Go downtown if you dont mind a long walk to the car for parking or go to Bossier to some of the bigger clubs for quality karaoke. Send me a note, I'll direct you...

Pool tables were okay. Kind of run down. Drink prices are higher than what we usually pay and the people were not very friendly. Busy or not the tip jars were slow and match the service.

I went there for the first time last Friday for the Metallica tribute band. I have heard stories about the bar being a bit “rough” in the past, but I have also read and heard that they have done a lot of work to change the image, build a nice stage/music venue, and create a safe environment.

I am here to tell you that those stories are true! So true, in fact, that I brought my 22-year-old daughter to that show, and we felt completely safe! We had no issues with anyone. The bar tenders were great, and the fellow attendants were nice and respectful. I will be attending more shows at Bayou Thunder from now on, and whenever my daughter is in town again, I have no issue with bringing...

Edited to add two things: We felt completely welcome here from the moment we walked up, thanks to Bobby Hill. Also, don't forget to look for the fighting octopus in the ladies' room - it cracked me up every time I saw it!

My husband and I had an incredible time! Wonderful staff (especially Pyro) and wonderful patrons. The karaoke on Monday night was a fun-filled experience with two great hosts. They also have a jukebox, pool, and darts. I would recommend this bar...
