Jacquelyn's Cafe — Restaurant in Shreveport

For a first time experience I can tell you I would probably never eat here again. I love the idea of this place but the prices are too pricey for what you are getting and the noise level is horrible. I don’t know how the staff handles it. It is definitely not a place I would recommend to someone who has noise sensory issues. The staff for the most part is friendly (some more so than others). And the food came out quickly. I personally do not like a place you order at in front of everyone before you sit down but I get the concept of it and it seems to be a popular thing in Shreveport. The gumbo had great flavoring but it was runnier than I expected. I dislike ruffles potato chips with a passion and would have preferred a pasta or a potato salad as an option. The sandwiches are an average sandwich expect the roast beef is sliced thicker than normal and the turkey was really salty. I will leave this place to the locals...

Ist delivery order from this staple in Shreveport. I ordered sandwiches chicken salad had a smoky taste and shrimp salad both on wheat bread. The presentation was nice from the menu , I wasn't sure if the chips came with the sandwich but they are pictured on a plate . I ended up with extra potato chips. They weren't in a small bag but in a small take out container. There was also a pickle slice garnishing the meal . Sandwiches nicely cut in half. My favorite cake is German chocolate . Order the Monte Cristo, $11.00, it was pan fried like a grilled cheese sandwich. The ones I've had in the past else where have all been deep fried so that was disappointing. The sandwich itself was bland, nothing over the top exciting. Rating for Monte Cristo 5 out of 10.

Jambalaya small cup : $4.75. Jambalaya was good i thoroughly enjoyed it and it curved my experience all together, not the best I've ever had but still good. 8.8 out of 10.

Customer service was nice, fill your own drinks. Clean restaurant, packed house.
