This is my second time I've eaten here. First time, service was great but the food was horrible. My husband ordered curry and I initially wanted to order the crispy duck but the waitress didn't want to place that order in because it would've taken too long for them to cook and changed her reasoning to they didn't have any available. She suggested ginger duck stew so I took that instead. I didn't like how it tasted at all. My husband's curry also didn't taste good as well. It had more onions than meat in the dish. I'm asian I grew up with these asian dishes, and I've never didn't like how chinese food tastes until I came here.
I decided to give this place a second shot and placed an order in advance. This time I was able to get the crispy duck. When I came in, the lady was super nice. But the food was burnt and dry.. I couldn't even sink my teeth into the meat bc of how hard and overcooked it was. The contents I received was questionable- I had a couple of pieces that were just burnt bones with no meat on them. I hate wasting food and strongly believe throwing them out is a smack to the face to people who are homeless and starving. But the duck I received was completely unfortunately inedible. I wish I could get my money back because nearly $17 is not a cheap meal.
Although service was great and fried rice was good, the cons to this place out weighs its pros. I won't be giving them my...
Read morePeople have been fooled about how food should taste. I was sitting at the table and it dawned on me all they do is add salt. All Chinese fast food is the same. Same dishes. Same method of cooking. Same processes.
I decided to dine-in. First off the hostess lady decided I needed to know it wasn’t a buffet. I looked at her sideways and laughed. I pointed out she didn’t tell the big guy in front of me the same. I still don’t know how I should feel about this.
I ordered the chicken and vegetables from the lunch menu. Everything on the plate taste the same. The waitress filled my tea up with ice to the top before pouring the tea. That turned me off. Large wonton strips are also served. A suggestion. Serve the strips warm. Like tortilla strips at a Mexican restaurant. The small portion size surprised me. The food was edible but a bit salty. I’m probably done with Chinese restaurants while I’m in the Shreveport/...
Read moreI was very impressed that the staff told me that they could adjust the sodium level of many of their dishes to meet my lower sodium requirements.
I was about to leave when I thought that I’d not be able to eat from the menu. When I told the staff why, they said that the could adjust it for me.
The dishes were great and I am super happy that I can dine here without worrying about high sodium.
The service was fantastic. The restaurant is very pretty with lots of tables but I’m removing one star because they need to do something about those water stained ceiling tiles. I think those can at least be painted.
I won’t let that stop me from...
