We recently decided to have a special family dinner at this new Thai restaurant, and it was an exceptional choice. Although it was our first visit and the restaurant is new, my coworkers’ recommendation was absolutely spot on!
The attention to detail in the decor is impressive. The entryway is adorned with fascinating trinkets and models, and there are even more captivating decorations above. The restrooms are immaculate, and the dining area is well-organized. The tables were pristine, and despite only one other table being occupied, the manager promptly attended to us.
We ordered appetizers, which, like all the subsequent dishes, were served quickly after we ordered. I highly recommend the Thai Rice Soup, especially at spice level 3. The vegetable curry pastries were a delightful surprise and made for perfect finger food before the entrees.
If you prefer a larger dinner plate instead of the smaller appetizer plate, just inform the staff. Our favorite, the panang curry, was simply delicious. Paired with both the garlic fried rice and basil fried rice, it was a fantastic combination. We ordered everything at spice level 2 to be cautious, but next time, we’ll opt for level 3 to suit our taste. The wide rice noodles with vegetables and fried tofu were also very flavorful. The manager herself consistently checked on us throughout the meal and took care of refills, even though we were the last customers and they were preparing to close.
It was wonderful to end our visit by meeting both managers. They shared that the owners are currently in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and will return in August. We’re excited to go back and hopefully try some new dishes when they’re back!
The excellent service and delicious food make me highly recommend this new restaurant to both locals and tourists....
Read moreCame here to try the food. When we ordered, we had mentioned one person had a shrimp allergy, and the waiter gave is a look then said okay. One person then ordered a meal with chicken (allergic to shrimp) then another ordered one with shrimp. The meals had a mix up, one dish having the shrimp (to the person allergic) and the chicken to the person that wanted shrimp. We informed our waiter, and they stated that that is what was ordered. We then said the person who is allergic to shrimp wouldnt order the shrimp. The person who received the chicken kept the item instead of sending it back. After some back and forth, the waiter took the shrimp plate back and corrected it.
We also ordered a mango boba with passion fruit boba inside. When given to the table, all people at the table tasted it and agreed it was not mango, but banana. We informed not only our waiter, but the other, and they said no its mango. The waiter that wasn’t our waiter also said the boba was mango, when our waiter corrected it to passion fruit. They then would not take it back even though all parties said it tasted like banana. It seemed like they thought we may have been trying to take advantage of them, but in reality we just kept getting issues.
While the food isn’t bad, the service is not what we want when we go to a place. Its ok if you’re new or training, but customer service is important. I can bet you 2000$ that drink was banana and will die...
Read moreJust got home from this new Thai restaurant. I was BLOWN AWAY! Very extensive menu with 5 spice levels for most things. I had the Ginger house special, the Tom Yum soup, and the steamed pot stickers. First the steamed pot stickers were delicious and NOT slimy like so many are. The Tom Yum soup (with a Level 3 spice level) was SPICY and I might try the Level 4 next time because it didn't kill me this time (LOL). The Ginger dish had LOTS of PERFECTLY stir-fried veggies... still a little crisp and NOT "done to death". The Level 3 spice on this one was a probably not quite spicy enough for me.... Level 4 next time for sure on a dish like that. One of my friends had the Massaman curry which apparently NO other Thai restaurant in the area has (Why not?) and he LOVED it! I tasted it too (DELICIOUS!!). Another friend (a very picky eater) has the yellow curry and loved it. The waiter was great, too. He explained things, was very friendly, and very prompt. The decor is beautiful inside!! They've done a really nice job transforming this place from whatever it was in its previous life. We met the owner and she is very courteous, humble, and was so grateful that we praised their food. At the risk of this place becoming so popular that we can't get in again, I recommend this place HIGHLY!!! Eventually, I think I'll just HAVE to have everything on the menu.... that may take...
