Really average place. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to go their again unless a friend wanted to go. The place has an off-putting smell when you first walk in. The staff were nice. Price was a little high for the quality of food. I ordered the sesame chicken, and a Stars (Pepsi) drink came to about 15 dollars. You get a rather big portion of chicken and 2 scopes of "brown" rice. Portions are not the problem. The chicken tasted like it was deep-fried in peanut oil. The sesame chicken sauce tasted off. The sauce was thick, almost jello or a jelly texture. "Brown" rice had almost no flavor outside of the sesame sauce that was on or around it. I did try my friends order of orange chicken, which had a more flavor and wasn't too bad. It could have been an off day. Though I think there are plenty of other places to go eat at for chinease takeout. Ichigo sushi (lin's kitchen), mayflower, Asian Cafe, and Jade Express are all better options for sure. Even...
Read moreYo, so I checked out this Chinese spot and honestly, it was kinda mid. Like, the food wasn’t bad, but it definitely wasn’t bussin' either. It’s just...meh. The portions were decent, but for the price? Nah, that’s a hard pass. It was lowkey overpriced for what you get, and honestly, you could get better takeout for way cheaper.
Also, can we talk about the tipping situation? I’m lowkey confused. You order at the counter, but they bring your food to your table like it’s a sit-down restaurant. So, am I supposed to tip? 'Cause I’m just out here trying to figure it out, but no one really made it clear. It’s kinda awkward, tbh.
On the bright side, they do have a drive-thru, and that’s actually a vibe. Super clutch for when you’re in a rush and just need some quick Chinese food without dealing with all the confusion inside. But yeah, overall? Not worth the hype, not worth the price. Wouldn’t run back unless I’m really desperate for...
Read moreIt was ok, I don't how else to put it. I don't know if these other reviews are paid or these folks just haven't eaten at some of our other local Chinese places but it was not amazing. I had the house special fried rice with chicken, beef & shrimp. The rice itself was pretty good but the meat seemed like it was boiled or just steam cooked with no seasoning. Any flavor on the meat seemed to come from the flavor in the rice. My husband had Mongolian chicken and he said it was 'meh', so much onion yet not alot of flavor. I'll just say they could be better if they seasoned the meat and cooked it like most places around here do. Taste China, Ming Garden, Mayflower are just worlds better TBH. Sorry, hate to knock a place just getting going and maybe they'll improve but we have some awesome Chinese food around here so I just...
