I impulsively tried this place when my usual street taco spot was closed. Came on a Sunday around 4pm and the restaurant was empty except for a table of what I believe were staff and friends/family. This was my first visit so I decided to try the steak street tacos. As I waited for my food, I glanced around the dining area and noticed it was cluttered and unkempt. A box of old bananas was sitting next to the counter where I ordered. A pile of cleaning supplies and rags were sitting next to the self serve drink station. The restaurant also smelled like all purpose cleaner rather than food. And when I left and drove around to exit, there were piles of junk littered all around. I could probably overlook the clutter if the tacos were tasty but unfortunately, the tacos were very disappointing. The steak was just tiny little bits of over cooked meat and the corn tortillas werenât soft, they were hard, possibly stale, and over cooked as well. Sadly, this spot left a poor first impression and I likely wonât go back when there are several other restaurants in the area with better tacos and atmosphere. Portion and pricing seemed comparable with other restaurants.
Thoughts after restaurant response: You may be confusing me with another customer as I didnât ask any questions regarding the type of meat and I did not request hard shells. Regardless, the meat and tortillas were over cooked. I did not bring this to anyoneâs attention at the time because I took the food to go. I also noticed the âNo Refunds if you donât like how the food tastes â sign which would definitely be a deterrent for a lot of folks. I made no mention of dirty tables, I didnât notice any actually. While I respect your right to respond to criticism, Iâm not sure that the person responding to these reviews is able to accept any...

Beef cheek tacos: Quality: low Taste: not as good as competition Presentation: not as good as competition Portion: smaller than competition
I love this dish. I have ordered it in as many places as I have visited from here to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Unfortunately, they fall very short here. The inedible, overly squishy, overly chewy fat ratio and content of these tacos from this place was extremely disappointing and utterly destroyed any chance of being able to enjoy this dish. I quite literally had to remove a full taco's worth of chewy fat from the contents of the two tacos I ordered and was left with tough chunks or "cubes" of meat instead of the much better shredded style for these type of tacos. When I showed the person who took my order the amount of inedible fat I had pulled (keep in mind: I am a huge fan of a little gristle on my steak, so when I say inedible you can count on that) and asked "Is there always this much fat?" she replied, "Unfortunately Yes." Well, I have ordered these from this place before and can assure you they did not the first time. But, if she says "Unfortunately Yes" I think you should take her word for it and expect that each and every time you order them from here (again, love these, order them everywhere I can, and NO, that is not the norm!)
Tamales: Quality: fair Taste: more spicy than flavorful Presentation: Authentic style, about twice the size of what you may be used to, white corn and flattened. No sauce on top. Portion: average for this style
Admittedly, I am more of a fan of yellow corn tortillas than the white, but I found these to be essentially bland other than the spicy sauce. The pork was...
Read moreWhen my husband and my mom first pulled in the open sign was off, my mom told the owner and she just said âoh yeah ill turn it onâbut didnât really care much about it. The place was practically empty only one table was occupied, but we were hungry after a long trip we were passing by and decided to stop there to eat. My husband ordered a Carne Asada and from the first bite he took the meat was dry and had absolutely no taste whatsoever, he kindly got up to let the owner know and to see if maybe he could just get something different instead, but she refused and her answer was plain no. I got up to ask her why he couldnât get something different and that he wasnât asking her for a refund and her answer was no, she wanted to offer him 2 tacos for the price of the Carne Asada that he had already paid. I told her that the service was awful and that her attitude was worst, A place like this shouldnât even be running and open to public if theyâre gonna be treated very poorly, she obviously didnât care about the fact that my husband didnât eat anything. She left and didnât even apologize for the worst service given or atleast apologize for the experience with the food. Will NEVER BE BACK AGAIN.. OVERLY PRICED my husband paid 50 something dollars for 2 plates and 2 drinks and didnât even get to eat or enjoy his food. We regret stopping at this place. I didnât even get to enjoy my food...
