Mangia Brick Oven Pizza — Restaurant in Shrewsbury

I would give zero STARS if I could. I will never be ordering from this place again. I placed an order for food at work at 11:39am and was told that my order would arrive in 30-45 mins. I gave them my phone number and asked that I be called when the driver arrives so I can exchange cash for the food outside since no one was allowed in the building. At 1245 I decided to call inquiring about my order and was told the driver was on the road and that my order would be arriving in 5 - 10 mins. 10-20 mins after that still not receiving my order I decided to call again to find that my order had been dropped off at the door. They dropped the food off without calling or taking payment. After I’ve confirmed that my order was sitting there for GOD KNOWS HOW LONG. OUR FOOD WAS COLD. I refused to pay for their bad service , communication and COLD FOOD. NOT MY FAULT INSTRUCTIONS WERENT FOLLOWED ANd that cash wasn’t exchanged. ALSO, the girl who answered was RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I REFUSED TO PAY. the owner and the girl showed up at my job asking for a manager and threatened to call the cops for theft of service. Give me An FING BREAK FOR LOUSY LOUSY COLD SERVICE. We ended up paying. NEVER AGAIN THIS PLACE IS AWFUL AND THE OWNER IS AWFUL

As a transplant from Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn I am continuously befuddled by the pizza options in New Jersey. Delivery came, old woman, didn’t say hi, looked confused, grunted, and handed me my pizza. Note that the add on items were on top of the box caving in the pizza making cheese stick to the top as I opened it. Good start. Next we have the pizza, a grandma with meatballs, pepperoni, and olives. It was terrible. No flavor, no soul. You Jersey people must love this garbage. Mangia might as well be owned by Giannis. It is the saddest, most tasteless pizza ever created. It’s embarrassing and there are simply no standards. Yet you all keep buying from places like these, keeping them in business for making a terrible product. I paid $45 for this pizza and threw it away. Mangia… before you go to sleep tonight, pray that I don’t decide to open a pizza place, pray. Since I got here in NJ the food overall is so terrible to the point where I have considered competing. This how bad your food is. And those boli knots were inedible, they were greasy and sweet!? How is Stromboli sweet, and why would you deep fry them, it was disgusting. I ate chicken fingers that came from a frozen bag in your freezer and sautéed broccoli. You...

I would love to keep attending the establishment, but employees often aren’t wearing their masks right or aren’t even wearing them. The employees are often nasty and miserable so I don’t feel comfortable asking them to fix their masks. The last time I came in the woman at the counter was nastier than usual. I know we are in trying times right now but I often have to wear my mask for hours straight without a break. The same should be expected around food. I am hoping we will see some changes, until then I don’t think I can happily return to the establishment.

EDIT: my sister was in a car accident, I was still on the phone trying to figure out if she was okay. I quietly excused myself and I still had the decency to say please and thank you only to receive a nasty look.
