Take a look at the other one-star reviews and see how this establishment responds when customers complain about VALID issues with the store. Have a problem with the order? Don't call the owner!!!! He'll just send you the cold food again, with no care about perishability, food being freezing cold, or providing good service. Doordash wouldn't pay him the first time, so once we reordered, he just sent the cold food the second time. Unethical. Unnecessary attitude, and obviously an issue with women. I'll stick with the other vegan places in the area, this franchise owner should seriously look into not working with customers one-on-one.
And take a look at their response below -- goes to show you the store takes no responsibility around 1- not reading instructions on door dash re: allergens, which is why I called in May and spoke to your owner. 2 - not preparing food fresh but instead, recycling orders if one wasn't picked up because of a store issue, not a door dash issue, and 3 - replies with snarky, ill-written accounts of a store celebrating their anti-feminist owner. All written in the wife's voice who instead of assuming responsibility, mocks the fact that they messed up more than...
Read moreAfter realising I needed to start eating healthier, more consistently, I made the decision to try out Greens and Grains; a quaint little health-spot up the street from my new job! Let me tell you, I have yet to be disappointed.
My first time there, I tried the BLT Wrap. To my surprise, the "B" was coconut bacon!! I've never had vegan substitutes of meat yet before in my life, and quickly fell in love with the taste of coconut bacon thanks to G&G! My following two visits, I got the same meal...it was just too good to pass up. With that, I have tried the Thai Carrot Ginger soup which.....I don't even have words for. If you're skeptical, please try it. The flavors in the soup transport you to another universe. I’m serious. Absolutely out of this world.
I went a total of three times in one week, and I’m writing out my order for today's lunch visit as I type this review. You will not be disappointed here at Greens and Grains! From the cleanliness and the light & airy vibe of the restaurant, to the friendliness of all the employees i've spoken to, Greens and Grains really checks...
Read moreYes this is a vegan restaurant, but really it's just a place that makes and serves great food that just happens to be all vegan. From my couple of experiences here the vegan thing isn't a negative factor at all like at some vegan places. The firs thing you must get is The Gobbler: their perfectly crafted fall special that has some Thanksgiving favorites on a bun. It's not overloaded or too little, it's just right in almost every way. Get this before it's gone! The buffalo sauce here is fantastic. We had it on the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was really good. The Viva La Vegan smoothie was okay but nothing special. The cheesecake was pretty good and extremely close to the real thing, differing a little in texture. The iced green tea they stock here is really good but I wish they had a sugar free option. Staff was fine, no complaints. Overall enjoyed my food here and will be back.
The prices are actually not that bad for Shrewsbury and vegan and organic, when it comes to entrees that is. Smoothies, desserts and drinks are a little pricier but...
