This store has been my local store for a minute and today that has to change. One of the managers named Bryan is the worst. This guy has no managerial skills at all. I ordered food for delivery, Iām only about 15 minutes away (with traffic), I patiently waited about an hour before calling for an update, talk to one of his crew members and just told they are really busy and have no one to deliver my food when they just sent a guy to deliver my coworkers food (we ordered separately but at the same time) no apology was asked. Called about 20 minutes after and was told the delivery guy was on his way and has other deliveries with him, understood. Still, no food arrived. Called another 20 minutes later, this time Ive been waiting an hour and 30 minutes or so, this guy Bryan answered and told me he was the one who went to our office to deliver and he is one of the managers. He left because he claims that there is no access point to our building. No secretary. Well Mr Bryan, my contact info is on your system (even if itās down you have to make sure my food gets to me) I included full details, 3rd floor - Suite 301. Did you even try? Not even a knock on one of our doors, thereās more than a hundred in our building and with one knock, there would be 40 ears hearing your knock. And when I talked to Bryan, he didnāt even apologize. He started reasoning out that itās raining and it could take longer. I asked him if he could make sure that my food gets to me hot and he said IāLL HAVE TO PUT IT IN THE MICROWAVE THEN. What???? You want to give me microwaved food that sat at your restaurant and car for more than 1.5 hours????? I said can you please make me a fresh one???? Like do i even have to ask??? He said coldly, WELL ITāS NOT GONNA GET TO YOU FOR A WHILE THEN. Wooooow just wow!!! Still didnt apologize and with his tone it seems like he barely cares. So instead I told him to just cance my order and he GLADLY said āYEAH, I CAN DEFINITELY DO THATā what an guy!! Worst manager I have to deal with. I work for a company where we use PANERA for all our events and this is just very disappointing. Hope this guy gets what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have overlooked mistakes on our pickup orders about every other visit at this location. Tonight was finally the straw that broke the camel's back. Very small issue that we paid for 4 chips which was checked off on the receipt, but only received two. I called to see if they could simply reimburse the credit card for the two chips (.99 each). The manager who was polite but sounded very young said bc they were part of a meal they will not reimburse. If we bought them separately, she would have reimbursed for their mistake but bc it was part of a combo, the customer just needs to eat the cost of their mistake. I asked her if she was willing to lose a customer for life by making a customer pay for their $1.98 mistake, and she said there is nothing she can do. Am I being dramatic? Sure, but we have lost all sense of basic customer service in our country (and the younger generation has not been taught). Again, the manager was polite and professional but failed to do the right thing in this situation. I wish the Panera the best, but can no longer give them my business at this time. Federico's and Americana Diner are great options in the same location.
Thom Lee: I appreciate the perspective and the defense of the young employee (I have children of my own), but believe you fail to miss my point. Read my review again ^^^ and I acknowledge that it's NOT the small price of the chips but rather the PRINCIPLE of an unwillingness to take responsibility for mistakes made by a business. (This is OUR generation/Big Food Chain's fault, not the young Manager's who handled the situation as she was trained - again, please read my acknowledgement of this loud and clear on the review). Best wishes for the holiday season to you and to the young manager who I commended multiple times in my review.

Ā Ā Ā Read morePanera is always my go-to spot for lunch or hanging out with friends, and this was my first visit to the Shrewsbury location. I opted for my usual favorite, the Green Goddess Cobb salad, which never disappoints! While I tried their green tea for the first time, I found it okay, but it had a noticeable honey taste that I'm unsure about since I prefer adding my own honey. I also indulged in a kitchen sink cookie, although it was a bit overdone for my liking. Nonetheless, the service here was excellent, and I'm grateful for their patience when I couldn't find my credit card, which I later discovered under the car seat. The ambiance is consistently modern and visually appealing, and I particularly appreciate the layout at this location compared to the Parlin oneāit feels more spacious and open. While I did notice that we had to wipe down tables before sitting, it's possible they hadn't gotten to it yet. Initially, the noise level was a bit overwhelming due to a screaming and crying baby, but once they left, it was a relief. It would be great if parents could manage their children's behavior more effectively in public spaces. Additionally, although not a complaint, my friend and I found it amusing that we heard a ringtone resembling quacking every few minutesāit wasn't too loud, but it added a touch of humor to our visit. I highly recommend trying the tomato soup and broccoli cheddar soup at Panera! Adding croutons to the tomato soup adds a satisfying crunch and enhances the flavor. Personally, I enjoy letting them soak a bit to become juicy. As for cookies, the tulip (or sandal, mitten, etc.) is always delicious and sweet. While I prefer the regular chocolate chip cookie over the kitchen sink cookie due to its potential saltiness, I do wish they made chocolate chip cookies as large as the kitchen sink ones, with larger...
