Nothing Bundt Cakes — Restaurant in Shrewsbury

NEVER COME HERE!!! I went in here at 11:50 on 3/31. I previously placed an order online for two bundlets but forgot to pick up the order because I did not receive any confirmation email or text. (Yet I was not refunded for this order) i could completely understand this policy if it was a custom cake order (if they had called me to let me know) but these are items they have in stock daily. I had to argue with them over the phone to get them to still let me pick up my bundtlets that I rightfully paid for.

As soon as I said my name at the counter the girl’s expression on her face instantly changed as she must have been the one I was speaking with on the phone yesterday. After that she could not be any more rude. She once again informed me that the bundlets need to be canceled 24 hours in advance for the future. I explain to her that I did not want to cancel the order I just forgot to pick it up and I did not receive any email confirmation. She said that I received a phone call from them at the end of the day that I needed to pick up the cake. I said I never received that phone call. She proceeded to argue with me in front of the entire store which had about 7 people in it at the time, causing a scene, INSISTING that they called me. I got to the car and double checked my phone and there is NO RECORD of said phone call. Not to mention, if they had actually called me, wouldnt I have cancelled the order over the phone with them rather than just not showing up??? But no, according to her they ALWAYS call which means they DEFINITELY called me. I guess she’s never heard of a mistake happening.

I’m not really sure what happened to “the customer is always right” policy but it definitely does not apply here. I usually come here all the time but I don’t care to be treated that poorly by a small business I am trying to support by simply buying products. I am astonished by this treatment, and she has completely ruined my day. Not to mention that she could have simply proceeded to let me purchase my items and leave, but instead she chose to start an argument in the middle...

La-la-love these cakes that is why NBC has been my go-to for treats for many years including this Mother's Day. However when picking up my pre-paid order, I was directed away from the store, as it was open only for "shopping", to a different location where other patrons were lined up outside in stormy weather and being helped from a fold up table which seperated the employees, who were inside and warm and dry (rightfully so), and kept the customers outside in the rain during the whole process. So, the main store is open, and basically empty, for shopping purposes but your dedicated customers who already paid are kept standing outside in the rain? Not cool. This could have been planned for and managed better in several different ways given the resources at hand in this day and age. Though the cakes are delightful, nothing reflects your brand more than how you treat fellow human beings. Will I be coming back? Not any time soon as there are many other bakeries that have processes in place to properly manage high demand for holidays in a professional manner with their customers' well-being and experience at...

Let me start by saying that I don’t like cake, but I wanted to try something different from what I always get for my husband. I was lucky enough to find this place. I loved how unique their cakes look. So I called and ordered one for my husbands birthday just because of how it looked.

Saturday I was around the area and decided to go and try them out. When entering the girl that was there was friendly and offered us the sample of the day, which was red velvet. It was sooo soft and delicious! So we decided to buy a carrot and a red velvet mini cake like the picture. Even the carrot is so good!!

Forward to today my husband got his cake and he loved and so did everyone including me. I just loved how amazingly soft they are.

If I may suggest something is that I wish they can make the mini cakes without so much icing to enjoy the amazing flavor...
