Has the potential to be just as good if not BETTER than Johnson’s. Simply because the burgers, if made with care, could be great. However it’s hit or miss with this place, and even though there are some major pros, I ultimately come here for the food. Not the drinks, or the service, or the atmosphere. I do not eat in because it’s extremely crowded. The food: You never know if you’re gonna get a half made burger or a well made burger, for example….The combo dogs, are horrible. If you’re used to the cheese on a Johnson’s combo dog or cheese dog DO NOT GET ONE FROM HERE. Another plus for this place is they have fountain drinks and 16 oz foam cups….Which is much better than getting charged per 12 ounces of whatever you drink (sweet tea included) like you would at Johnsons. I also like that the prices are less, you can get a burger drink and fry for less that $10. Like Johnson’s this is a cash only establishment. The one and only reason I eat here is because Johnson’s is closed on Mondays. Pictures is a regular burger cheese and mayo only, as you can see there’s hardly any of each on this burger. This could have been a 4 star rating, but is only a 3 for a very important reason which I will discuss later. This is a classic hole in the wall burger joint—so, yes, it looks a little rundown, but that is part of its charm. The staff was polite, helpful, and highly attentive. The burger was fresh, hot, and excellent but had a little too much cheese on it. The fries were very good, as was the lemon pie. This all adds up to a 4 star rating, right? Yes, but for the fact that not one, not two, but THREE of the servers were eating their lunch in the food service area. I’m not talking about sneaking a bite of something, which is still just as much of a violation, but I’m talking about eating a sandwich and onion rings. One of the servers even came out to clean tables and offer refills with her mouth so full of food that she looked like a chipmunk. I’m not exaggerating. If you are in Siler City you have to try the Rollie Burger. This was a staple for me growing up here. You have not experienced Siler City until you experience this deliciousness on a bun. The place looks run down and could use quite a bit of repair, but that doesn't stop folks from coming in and enjoying this yummy food. The restrooms here are around at the back of the building and you can order at the take-out window or come inside and sit at one of the several booths. The place can get a bit busy on Friday nights.
