Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Silver Spring Township

Please steer clear of this place Manager Bernie IS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!! I have never been treated this way ever & will never ever return!!!! We had an awards ceremony for our 12 & 13yr old boys team. We had their awards & championship rings neatly organized on the table in the back room that we reserved to present these awards. Bernie the manager grabbed the table w the awards and flung them too to the floor moving the table talking trash! My 76yr old mother-in-law my 22yr old daughter and myself holding onto the table asking her to stop. She was not happy w the placement of the table. She had Christmas decorations laying on chairs in the area that we reserved for 25 guests. Seems like this clutter would hv been removed knowing we reserved the area days ago! BERNIE the manager WAS RUDE & Over the top!!! My husband explained when he talked w her days prior to the event she was very nice. I’m not sure if she was having a bad day or what — but that doesn’t gv u a reason to treat customers bad. I wanted to leave immediately but stayed bc I didn’t want to let our team & parents down. To find out she’s a manager was a disgrace!!! I’ve been in the restaurant/customer svc industry for over 20yrs & hv never experienced anything like this!! Bernie the manager was nasty & Awful! I feel sorry for the employees there. The other 2 employees there were very nice & accommodating & the pizza was good. I can understand why the parking lot is always Empty under this type leadership. Haven't been to this establishment in years. There is currently no waiters. You can eat inside at a table, but there's no personal service. Staff bring your order to you in the box. The menu doesn't offer all that Pizza Hut offers per say. Common items, yes. In other words, if you see a commercial hype on new pizza offers, don't expect to see that at this location. Food was quick, hot and generally very good. The most flaw I found in the pizza is the signature buttery crust from older days. If anyone out there remembers many years ago, Pizza Hut was revered for that crisp buttery crust. The pizzas we had today, the crust was rather dry and lacking the days of traditional buttery crusts. Condiments are limited to red pepper flakes and parm. cheese packets, salt pkts, plastic forks only, and napkins. Only small saucers avail. There's no ice. Only bottled drinks to go. This establishment is really more for take out. I wouldn't be surprised if old dining area doesn't get closed from even just sitting to eat what...

We ordered curbside pick-up. App said it would be ready in 15 minutes and started a 15 minute countdown timer. My wife went to pick it up. She was parked in the space at the 15 minute mark. She sat there for another 15 minutes all the while watching people enter the restaurant. She went in for the pizza and waited in a line while the counter person was taking orders. It's her turn, she says she's here for her curbside order and that the app said it has been done for what is now 20 minutes. He turns around and picks up the 3 pizzas (our order) that she's been watching sitting there the entire time she's been in line. The counter guy says to her, "You can see we're really busy." Well what's the point of offering curb side pick up?!?! By the time she got home the pizzas were cold. I called back to the restaurant to talk to someone and the phone just rang.
