Really shocked by our experience during our second visit. The first time was excellent and I even talked to one of the owners. However, the second time was our last. I ordered the Chicken Chettinadu and what I got was a gross looking pile of curry. I say a pile because it was very clumpy that resembles something that I won’t mention for the sake of not sounding gross. It was super spicy and the chicken wasn’t good. There were so many bones that I kept spitting shards of chicken bones while I was chewing and it made it hard to just eat it without trouble. To top it off, we saw one of the customers go up to the staff to show them a bug she found in her drink. Soon after, my boyfriend saw a bug crawling around on the top shelf where they stock the take-out containers. Then after that, he turned around and we noticed 2 more bugs that were crawling around the chairs at the table behind him. We were shook and startled by it all. I’m really surprised to see the decline of quality in food and service as well as the lack of cleanliness in this restaurant. I do hope they get the pest control done pronto. I hope they get a good deep cleaning of the place because it really needs it. I also hope they get another server because the one who served us that day was not attentive or helpful. Sorry to leave this review but I felt the need to. I feel like we wasted our money on an unappetizing and disturbing experience.

We went there on 26th of October , 2022. We had chicken tandoori with Naan and one goat/mutton biriyani. The chicken tandoori was average. I would probably rate it 3/5 compared to other chicken tandooris I had from nearby Indian restaurants. The larger the chicken the less tasty it gets. The chicken pieces were too large and may be that’s why the spices didn’t go that deep inside the pieces. Hence, the taste was more on the outside crust and inside it was not that moist and spiced. If I talk about the goat/mutton biriyani, i would probably rate is 3.5/5 according to my way of tasting biriyani. Because I personally like biriyani that is not so moist. The biriyani rice was moist with all the spices. However, I have had biriyani before from this restaurant that was not that moist rather plain. The service was really good. The ambiance was cozy. Prices seemed a little bit overpriced compared to other restaurants. Even though I rated tandoori 3/5 and goat biriyani 3.5/5 , overall, I would rate the 4/5. Because those ratings were according to my taste’s expectations which, I believe, would differ from person to person. In a nutshell, We enjoyed the evening at Banana leaf.

Location is good , accessible and it has its own parking spot. We went as 12 people group , placed an order for dine in 10 min before Arrival. Food was perfectly made according to our spicy levels. Serving was fast , staffs are friendly. One who attended was very nice person with smile in his face and kept us enjoy the food. 1 star is reduced for minor corrections needed on few place/items. Overall food / dining experience was good and great. 1. We ordered boneless chicken biriyani(it has chicken breast pieces and was tasteless) and also biriyani tasted ok but not great. 2. Mutton biriyani tasted good and it is regional taste.(no complain and we enjoyed the biriyani) 3. Button /garlic naan was fresh / tasted very good . 4. Pomfret fry , chicken makhani , chicken 555, samosa chat , mango lassi tasted good.

I was warned but took risk and got paid badly. I am a south Indian and tasted good variety of spicy south Indian food. Not just once, we had food three time. Not even a single time had good experience.

Saturday Lunch took the veggi platter. taste was ok for the price. Not a must to have lunch. Have better option like chippotle or taco bell for lunch.

Briyani for lunch Asked for briyani option over phone. i was told all kind of briyani options such as 555, 999, chilli etc. finally ordered 555 chicken briyani. At home came to know that it was layer of 555 chicken appetizer and layer of rice. taste was ok. But this kind of creating option is not a quality customer care.

Finally- Friday night Togo (Today) ordered Chicken sukka and Andhra chicken curry - both spicy. they made it fast and was ready when arrived there. No issue. Came home and started to have a glass of drink with a movie and chicken sukka. No salt, no spicy and no emotion in taste. chicken piece are big, not cooked to the center, not fresh either. to add more chicken was smelling bad.

Andhra chicken curry - Same situation no salt, no spice, no taste, old and uncooked chicken and smelling too. Chicken piece was big and was red inside. Curry came with 4 piece of chicken and trashed 3.5 chicken.

My weekend was almost spoiled with this food.

My wife warned not to go but i did not listen. Even non south Indian or non Indian restaurant are providing better quality food. i don't mind if there is no taste or salt, we can manipulate. But if you serve a meat that is not even worth to taste has no value.

I am not sure how this restaurant has 4.5 rating.

If you are driving more than 15 min to have good food, never go there. There are other restaurants who may not disappoint you.

Thanks for your consistent non quality food, now i have one less option to consider will looking...

Hi Friends, I have been to this restaurant many times when I visit Harrisburg for work ,but recently I started seeing too many negative negative reviews so I thought to go and check out whether they are real or people are doing reviews just to spoil some others reputation which finally turned out it’s a false alarm.

I took a group of my friends/ colleagues and tried this restaurant on a busy busy Friday night ordering all time consuming and good dishes like silver pompano fish, lamb chops and tandoori chicken from the grill tandoor which turned out to be a A++++ rated.

My friends ordered the onion rava masala dosa which was too much for one person to be fed and the sambar with peanut/ coconut chutney and tomato chutney turned out to be extra ordinary.

Also I have to mention something I had seen some negative reviews commenting about Sambar but I never tasted it sweet or salty or no spice or spicy, it was pretty good with the dosa all the time I ordered so rest of you all had to check their taste buds I guess.!!!!

All my guests/ friends/ colleagues who came to dine in are all mixed races, tried vegetarian/non vegetarian and didn’t see any difference in the taste levels as they all got what they wanted based on what they ordered.

From My prospect everything looks fine as per vegetarian/ non vegetarian all is good. I only suggest everyone who is there or visiting Cumberland county /Harrisburg/mechanicsburg please go try and check it out...
