Nazrawi was a delightful experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual and special occasions. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. The highlight, of course, was the food. The Kitfo and fish Gulash was a standout, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavors. The portion sizes were generous and the presentation was visually appealing. Ending it with authentic Ethiopian coffee made in the middle of the restaurant. Overall, Nazrawi offers a fantastic dining experience with its combination of delicious food, excellent service, and cozy atmosphere. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal.

Comparing this to Addis on Fenton st, this place wins all bets hands down!! Much better quality of food and freshness of ingredients. Excellent service by the owner herself. Vibe & decor is homey and we enjoyed people watching at our window table, which, unfortunately had a wobbly leg. Oh well. Authentic entrees as well as the music playing softly. Highly recommend any of the beef tibs followed by the “ceremonial” coffee, which includes incense brought to your table, so you may want to decline that part if you have asthma or the like. Bottom line: Food so amazing I could probably eat there weekly, especially since we live in walking distance to it!

My son and I went there last night - a Thursday night. We were the only ones eating. There were 2 other tables with guests but not eating, just having drinks and hanging out. The decor looks nice, the food was good (we ordered the veggie combo and a lamb stew), and the Ethiopian beer always good. The only thing we didn't like was the noise coming from a faulty fan inside the overhead air conditioning duct. It was so noisy that it was annoying and very distracting to the enjoyment of our meal. I won't go back until they get it fixed.

Two stars for cleanliness and cozy environment. By the way I am an Ethiopian who knows Ethiopian food very well and have lived in the united states for two decades to appreciate food from different cultures. But I don't understand what this restaurant is trying to do. It looks like a buffet but Your options are limited. They tell you to pick 1 from here 3 from there and 4 from there. sauces and cheap salads are also among the options. What the hell? Give me what i want and charge me what you think is fair. Don't limit my options. Being the only Ethiopian express restaurant in the area you are not attracting a lot of Ethiopian customers. A lot of Ethiopians are talking about limited choices, less varieties. If your target is everybody except Ethiopians give them more than lentils and cabbage. Where is Goden tibs, doro wot, Kitfo, alicha, Key, minchet abish, yebeg kikil and more. And please don't be stingy act like a restaurant where there a lot to choose from with a fair price. You can make money and be successful from a lot of traffic. I know it might be tough for you guys because you are surrounded by a lot of Ethiopian restaurants. Find something that make you stand out. I have been to your place not only to eat but also to support but there is always something missing. I can't quiet say what. So may be take a survey. Get ideas from the community and make a radical change. I guarantee you you will see lines in the near future. Today I was not happy with the choices i was given i walked out with out buying. But i will come back. Please take this as a constructive advice not as negative...

Horrible experience. Doro Wat was not cooked all the way. Was gushing out blood. They took long to come so we could tell them. They came and asked if we wanted another, we said no because at that point, we were almost finished with our Veggie combo and no longer wanted it. We asked them to take it off the check, and they said ok, no problem. Then, as we were about to get the check , they brought out more, asking us to please take it although we were finished eating. We said no thank you and were waiting for the check. They left it on out check and wouldn't take it off even though we didn't eat it because they gave it to us undercooked originally. And they agreed to take it off before, so that was extremely unprofessional. We will be sure never to be back and tell our family to stay away. That was not ok. And they were being stingy with the injere and would not check on us the whole time to replace water or anything. It felt rude, and we were polite the whole time. My friend didn't want to argue with them, so...

Note: this review is not about the food, only about the service. I will gladly change this review once the service improves.

We walked in this afternoon, waited for our food for 25 minutes, and when the staff still hadn't started our meal still, asked for a refund. Btw, thanks Manuel at the register for being a good sport about it.

Here's the problem - they had 2 people cooking the food in the back, and only one person actually putting it on plates. The process of actually putting the food on plates takes about 1 minute per plate (I counted), but somehow there's a 5 minute gap between how often different customer's food arrives. What is causing this issue? This is completely unacceptable, especially for a place with Express in its name. Would serve you well to figure out what is causing...
