If I could give this place ZERO STARS, I would! I don’t even know where to begin but I want to start by saying DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!! STAY AWAY! There’s a reason why they are 2 stars.
They have a MAJOR PEST control problem: I found SEVERAL ROACHES and BED BUGS in my room and in the hallways! I don’t even know how many roaches I killed, and did not realize there were bed bugs until my last night. The housekeeper during my stay was very nice and not at all surprised about the Pest issues. There were also so many flies at that hotel. I added photos of the roaches I killed. During breakfast, a guest THREW UP (yes, vomitted) ALL over the breakfast bar. Then nonchalantly wiped his mouth with his hands and continued to grab juice. This happened right in front of a hotel staff member. When I went up to the hotel staff member to alert of the situation, she reacted like she did not care and did not want to be bothered, even though she witnessed the entire thing. In a situation like this, disinfecting and ending the breakfast service IMMEDIATELY is the first thing to do because this is a major health hazard and the area becomes a biohazard. They did not react immediately and breakfast services continued as normal. Rude staff member with micro-aggressive tone. She was unnecessary rude solely because I was standing near the entrance.
There were many reasons but these were the major 3. Lastly, I requested a full refund because my stay was UNACCEPTABLE and they did not want to honor the refund. They lied in the complaint report that I opened with IHG and stated that they had resolved the problem with me and given me 10,000 hotel points for the inconveniences. Firstly, 10K points does not even cover the cost of hotel, and secondly, I NEVER even received the points. And also the problem was never resolved! When I called the hotel to send me a copy of the report via email, they never emailed me and never responded.
Do yourselves a favor and stay somewhere else or spend the extra money for a better hotel. This...
Read moreMy daughter and I stayed three nights at this hotel. The first night, we had no parking for our car and had to park in the public garage next door. To be fair, it was well lit and right next door to the hotel, otherwise I would've found another hotel. The room had been upgraded a bit and was clean but the A/C unit didn't work properly and most of the power outlets weren't working, which we mentioned to the staff. The hotel itself is very outdated and in need of a major renovation, especially the breakfast area. The day before we were supposed to leave, we had a car accident and were scrambling to make phone calls to remedy the situation. I asked if we could get late check-out the next morning, just an extra hour or two in case we had any issues, and was told we still had to check out at the usual time. They would lock up our bags and we'd have to stay in the lobby area, which would not have been a pleasant experience. Granted it was a holiday weekend coming up but I cannot believe that housekeeping would've been at our door exactly at 11:00 to begin cleanup. We needed an extra parking pass for the damaged vehicle, which the night desk manager grudgingly gave us when we tried to assure him we'd have the car towed as quickly as possible, or that it would be gone by morning. We were able to get a rental in order to drive the six hours home to Western New York, and we needed the extra pass for that vehicle. The bright light was a night security gentleman who assured us that he'd keep an eye on the damaged car so it wouldn't be towed and he helped us unload things from the car and bring them to our room. I wish I had gotten his name and I hope somehow he is recognized by IHG for his kindness. I gave him a tip that he initially refused but I insisted. I do not know how this hotel had a 4.5 star rating, which was why I chose it, as well as its proximity to the Metro, a ten-minute walk that was fine during the day but that I would not do at night. Others need to be aware of this hotel's issues and I hope this...
Read moreAs someone who travels frequently, never in my life have I had such a terrible experience with booking a hotel. For as big as the hotel is, the parking is wholly insufficient, however that's not the main issue. My biggest issues stem from the sheer lack of communication and terrible attitude of the staff. When I had booked, it had been via phone. I wasn't told about/ made aware of the 20$ parking fee, and when I asked about it later I was told that because it wasn't mentioned to me prior that it would be waived. Great! The real problems start when a different card was used to sign in and I need to get someone on the phone to verify the card after a good 15 minutes when the issue of the parking is brought up. I'm on the phone and the general manager TD comes over and starts making a big to-do of how HE'S the general manager and he didn't care WHO told us the fee would be waived- just that he wouldn't do it and that he would say no to it immediately had he known. When we tried to explain once more what we were told and asked what he wasn't understanding because it seemed the entire conversation was missing points between all parties, he rudely handed the phone back and said "goodbye" and "I've already canceled your reservation." OVER A 20$ PARKING FEE ARE YOU KIDDING ME? You're going to cancel an entire reservation over something so trivial just because you can't step off your high-horse for one second? We did not curse, yell, or be rude despite being frustrated, we were only confused with the situation after being told one thing then another and our entire reservation gets canceled as a result? From other reviews it looks like we're not alone in dealing with this. I sincerely hope this place changes because this was so comically bad I actually brought myself to write a review. SO glad we chose another place to stay afterwards. Asked for the general manager's name afterwards and he just taunts us with "you can tell them TD. They'll know who I am" lmfao what an...
