My experience here was a total mess. Where do I begin? When some of my party first got there, the staff started off amazing. I remember thinking, this is going to be great. We opted to wait until everyone got there to order. Once our full party arrived we were seated in a more accommodating section. The waitress who was obviously new and had never waited on a large party or had little exprerience served our table. She took only 3 people's order. She came back maybe 10 minutes later and we had to tell her to take our orders. There were about 10 of us. A few minutes later someone(later identified as the mgr) brought a fried egg to the table. We were all looking like where is the food that goes with it? She said oh it was placed seperately. Can you take it back until the rest of the food is ready? Of course the 3 people who ordered first got their plates with no problem and rather quickly. The other 7 however waited different amounts of time. Mind you there was not many people in the restaurant at the time. Maybe 2 other families, it was still early. Three of us got the same meal but waited at least 15 apart to receive our plates. They brought out parts of several meals and we had to ask for it was a side condiment or something. Not acceptable. I have never been to a restaurant that brought the meals out seperately. Meals should be eaten together right? My pancakes were soft and moist but were not fresh. They were either day before or hours before. I had to use a spoon because they were falling apart. They appeared to be those pancakes that you reheat(that was leftover from breakfast and in between dinner). The birthday girl who by the way had shrimp and grits didn't get her food until EVERYONE and I do mean EVERYONE was finishing up. She only took a few bites and a to go box. She was just ready to go at this point. We asked begore hand if the bills could be seperate which the waitress said yes. Come time to pay the bill, that wasn't the case. We found out that it would only take 3 cards(for 10 people?). So we're sitting here trying to figure out how we were going to do this. The manager finally came out. Although Im not sure if she was ever called or notified. The waitress said, she doesn't come out any way. What do you mean? Huh? When she got to the table, she reeked of cigarette smoke. Im not sure of the ettiquette or sanitation practices but reeking of cigarettes may be a common sense thing. I would have washed my hands and tried to cover up the smell at least. So upon trying to figure out why she hadn't made it to the table with major problems, she discloses that she was on the phone with the manager. I expressed my disappointment for the service and the fact that it took so long for her to come out. In my opinion, the fact that you have a very upset table full of customers that will not be back, trumps a manger's call. I personally would have said Boss I have a table of unhappy customers, is it ok to table this discussion for about 15 to 20 minutes? They made excuse after excuse, dis not stand nor work as a team and called out the peopl who were to blame for every problem we had instead of just quietly and apologetically correcting it. My whole party vowed to never come back. Service was horrible, management was horrible which is sad because the food actually wasn't too bad. I forgot to mention we had to keep reminding the staff that we hadn't received certain orders. We spent more time fussing over our food than actually...
Read moreThis by far is the WORST restaurant experience I have received in so long. In sum, the food is mediocre, the service is slow, and management needs to work on communication skills. Our waiter disappeared countless times and when we could stop her to request something, our request was barely met. Two of us at the table ordered two completely different wraps, however, when the food arrived we received two Cesar wraps instead of one Cesar wrap and chicken club wrap. Of course, the waiter was informed and nonchalantly said "Well they're the same wrap. One has caesar dressing and one has mayo." This caused raised eyebrows and yet again another call out to the waiter to please take one of the plates back and receive the chicken club wrap as asked. The chicken in the caesar wrap could be bought at Costco and made at home, no flavor, no nothing, and barely any chicken in the wrap. Nonetheless, a salad should've been ordered if this was the result of a CHICKEN wrap. The other two members of the table did not enjoy their food either, therefore, we decided it was time to pay the bill and leave the restaurant. We were a table of four and two members paid in cash meanwhile the other two paid with cards; INSTRUCTIONS were given to the waiter on how to divide the bill between the four payments. About 2 days later, we discovered one of the cards had been charged the entire bill, although the other card was also charged for the requested portion and of course the cash payment had already been taken. The restaurant has been called and all four "managers" have given the same "We will call back with any information" statement. I do not understand how one card was charged the entire bill yet the cash was also taken and the other card was charged as well when INSTRUCTIONS for a spilt bill were given. Still waiting for a call from management with a proper explanation and answer. Never going back to this...

I will begin by saying the staff inside are ok. Service is typically slow but Deanna is always amazing everytime I come . She is constantly accommodating and makes sure patrons are served with a smile.
NOW ... outside .. there are people grilling ... the first time I missed the suya so I was very excited to come tonight . There was no one outside so I ordered and they said it would be 10 minutes . So I went inside to have a drink to wait. I come back out and there is a line. No problem... I wait and I get to the front again ... a man is behind me who doesn't want to wait ... he skips the line gives her cash and she gives him my plates I am waiting on. I am calm and let her know I was there before him and those are mine. She says sorry and begins to make another plate . Another man from behind the gate (not in line) is yelling what he wants ... she begins to give him my plates again. So now I let her know this is unacceptable and she is purposely serving men before me when I have been here the whole time . She says sorry again. I get her zelle and tell her she needs respect black women moving forward. I am sending the money to pay when the man grilling comes from behind me and pushes me to the ground and grabs the food . I did not call the police however , another man (who I assume is a friend ) comes to smooth the situation .
I try hard to support any small business and was speaking highly of this one to those with me and was ready to recommend it to others ... but clearly if you are a woman will not be respected and you will be assaulted without hesitation .
I am still shaken by this encounter and will strongly discourage anyone from going if they are there . No man should put his hands on a woman for any reason ! and to continue to allow this business to operate at their establishment is not only irresponsible...
