Cronies Sports Grill — Restaurant in Simi Valley

Unfortunately, had a bad experience at Cronies Sports Grill this afternoon in Simi Valley, CA. Came into the restaurant and made the first mistake of agreeing to sit at the bar. My drink and food order was taken rather quickly. But then I waited almost forty minutes for my BLT sandwich to arrive. As I always do at the time of ordering, I specifically asked for my bacon to be well done and crispy. When it arrived, it was neither well done or crispy. Mistake #2 and note to self; always check bacon immediately when it's put in front of you. In the service staff's defense, it was busy in there, but I couldn't seem to get my waitress to come back and recheck on me to ask if everything was okay. Another thirty minutes passed and I think she realized that I hadn't touched my food. I told her I had been looking for her and that the bacon was not well done enough to my liking (can't do rubber bacon texture). She asked if I wanted to send it back but I said no, because I did not want to have to wait another forty minutes for my bacon's return visit. She asked if I was sure and I said, yes, and then told me she would discount the food. She discounted the food 50%, I paid and out the door I went leaving a one dollar tip on a $10.50 bill. In closing, I guess my only advice because I too am in the service business would be to check on your customers. Especially if you notice they're not eating the food you brought them. This is such a fun place to grab a beer (or a mimosa) and catch a game. It's also a great place to hang with friends for a casual visit that won't break the bank.

I've always had great service here. They don't constantly interrupt your meal but don't leave you unattended for too long for either.

I would give this 5 stars if they had more vegan/plant-based options. I just learned their garden burger can't be made vegan because it has cheese inside the party! They have a veggie sandwich that's ok, but with so many other places offering vegan options lately, it's too bad they don't have another option. The breakfast menu is lacking vegan options. I got the side of O'Brien potatoes and they were ok. Nothing super special but it got tht job done. If you get a mimosa, know that you can get it with OJ or cranberry or both!

Overall, I love this place and will continue to visit here, but probably for lunch or dinner rather than...

First visit and really enjoyed. This is a Sports Bar that caters to all teams, which included a large number of youngsters with some parents and a fair number of adults. The menu is sports oriented with sandwiches, fries. salads and a very good selection of breakfasts; which serve from 10-12 M-F, then 8-12 on Sat & Sunday. I'll be there Sat AM for an Omelet and Bloody Mary. Easy parking, entry front or right side with ADA parking. Service excellent from pleasant young ladies taking orders & delivering promptly. Why did I finally get there? Wanted to see Warriors and Magic play basketball. I've been going to Dugout or MB Grill, close to Avalon behind Simi Town Center.
