Marilyn’s Mediterranean Kitchen — Restaurant in Simi Valley

The food is TERRIBLE!!! I was REALLY hoping I'd like it because our regular amazing place (Greek House) is under construction. The hummus is tasteless which I didn't know was even possible. The pita tasted like raw flour/dough! The dressing for the Greek salad tasted suspiciously like wishbone Italian, Really?! Even the feta on the salad was not flavorful . They give you a generous portion of meat for the gyro pita but it was just ok. The tzatziki tasted like yogurt with fresh dill and nothing else. I want my $16 dollars back. I can see the employees and owner are hard workers and they are Greek but their food just isn't good. I have no idea why it's crowded other than these people have never had good Greek food so they don't...

The food was delicious. Prices not too bad either. I had the grilled fish tacos-amazing! The only issue we had was the delay in getting our food. Their weren't more than a few tables filled but we as did the family next to us, waited for close to 30 mins. to get our food. It seemed that they were very busy filling to go orders. Just tried Marilyn's for the first time ever last night and am so happy we did. Aside from the very high energy waitress, the experience was great. We had the Baba Ganoush and Beef Gyro plate with garlic fries and were blown away. It is honestly some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had....ever!
