The plaza and location are very good. But… The interior and decor is dark. They have these huge front windows but the light seems to disappear inside the place. I have been here three times and everything is always dirty - floors, tables, soda machine. The flies are persistent and plentiful. I think the quality of the meat they start with may be good. But the seasoning always seems off. Also don’t ever ever ever sit near the rear of the restaurant. The bathroom or something is stinking up the place to the point I was almost sick before I ate and during. Just totally unappetizing. The back of the place is plenty gloomy with huge Elvis pictographs for some odd reason. Some supplies and or what may be a random obstacle course they just store right out just to the right as you come in; for all to see, in what should be all seating area. Anyone who is successful in the restaurant business knows that the front of the house seating space is money making space (not closet space and cattle gates) a restaurant has to have a working flow from actual decor to people moving thru the place. The flies and smells don’t go with food, people generally like to see what they are eating so lighting is important. It’s like this place is just slapped together and the bare minimum is being put into it. Maybe their going for a country look or something but it’s totally not a working model. I hope the place takes the feedback and makes improvements. I’m doubtful because to be able to walk into this restaurant on a daily basis and not plainly see what can be immediately improved can only be explained one...

I went and picked my mother and father up a plate for my dad he got the hog sandwich and two sides like he always does and my mother gets the child's plate with two sides and a order of the sweet potato casserole and they love it I had already eaten so I didn't get me anything but no one around here that I know of can even get close to anything Wayne Cooks he does a wonderful job I've tried every BBQ place in Greenville Laurens Anderson Spartanburg and the new guy and Fountain Inn that's the biggest joke that there's ever been he is $8 too much on everything he has he does it give you any sauce for what you pay I went there one time just to try it and I told him when I walked out the door he would never be there long he can't touch Wayne's food at Henry's Smokehouse that guy is absolutely overpriced more than any barbecue restaurant I've ever been into the only thing he had that even tasted this it is he give you one little small container of sauce for your brisket and that's the only thing that was good not to brisket it but the sauce so we take Henry's hands down over anybody you want good barbecue and plenty of it for your money Henry's in Simpsonville is the place to go all Henry's is good everyone I've ever been to I'm glad Wayne quit being a plumber and decided to be a cooker BBQ...

Big disappointment. Came here with my fiance to try their food as a consideration for catering our wedding. First thing, sat down to a sticky table(not dirty; table finish was sticky) and proceeded to order our food. We ordered the 3 meat(pork, chicken, ribs) combo plate and a also the bbq sandwich plate. Sides tried were Mac n Cheese, baked beans, potato salad, and sweet potato casserole. Food came out literally 2 min later.

First sight looked good but the ribs were barely warm, dry, very plain tasting and didn't seem fresh. The chicken was over cooked to the point it turned to a paste-like consistency once in your mouth. The pulled pork was ok at best and required sauce. Baked beans were very basic off-brand canned beans...nothing special. Same goes for the Mac n Cheese. Potato salad was good but nothing fancy.

We didn't eat but a few bites before concluding we would not choose this as an option for catering our wedding. I wouldn't return as we couldn't even finish our food because of the items...

So my daughter was having a party for her husband’s birthday. She ordered two pounds of BBQ ($18 per pound) buns ($5) and sauces from the Simpsonville location. At pick up, she got 1.13 pounds of BBQ (see photo and note the amount of grease at bottom of the containers when she weighed it at home), squished buns (see photo) and the sauces. Including tip about $50.00. She called the restaurant when she arrived home about 20 minutes away and noticed the issue. The situation was not remedied as she tried calling Henry’s but no one answered the phone. She just threw it out. Fortunately $50.00 for our family is not a lot and we had alternatives. However, I feel for any family where that loss of money for food would constitute a burden.

I’m not sure if people in SC have had good bbq before but…. What did I just pay $30 for? The pork was very mushy and no smoked flavor whatsoever. They only provide 1 (ONE) option for a bbq sauce that was very runny and way too sweat. Where’s the FLAVOR? To top it off, they provide a generic piece of Texas toast (but slightly smaller). Where’s the homemade cornbread? Really?! Now to the atmosphere. Kinda like a hole in the wall bar which is fine, but I still expect a table that’s not sticky and the high chairs to hold up and not literally be falling apart, and gross. In conclusion, really wish I could get my money back for being served a tray of slop.

One of my favorite BBQ places... Good food and friendly service... The pulled pork is hard to beat.. I tried the smoked brisket today.. Very tender and great smoke flavor... I was Served a very large portion..all most more than I could handle.... Their FF 's are fresh cut and cooked to a golden brown... And they do pile them on the plate. It may be me but the ice tea seems to have improved... I use to not care for it but I have noticed a difference on my last two visits.
