I've always liked the RRH. Been going there since the late eighties...when it was just a dive bar that had cheap beer, and a crappy pool table...lol. Way before it became what it is today. The service, and the food, I consider to be average and satisfactory. It's a fairly simple menu, that doesn't even offer a steak dinner...for real? Plus I think some of their items are a little over priced, but other than that, it's good. I have no complaints other than this one exception... I LOVE their loaded tater tots. All that creamy cheddar cheese and bacon...they're bangin'! But lately, not-so-much. The last few take-out orders I got, I was a bit disappointed. The portions were smaller, plus the tots were getting less and less loaded 😔. When there's more sour cream on the side, than cheese and bacon on top, they're FAR from being loaded. They need to keep things consistent. I'm graciously giving them ⭐⭐⭐.

Definitely not what I was expecting. Given the name of the bar I thought it would have been more of a train bar if that makes sense. My boyfriend who if a big train guy was Definitely heart broken about that. All of the seating was outside not sure if that was due to covid or something. Disappointed that there was no drink menu giving to us so we just ordered water. Seemed like a lot of people order beer there because as we looked around that's all people had. Over all the food was ok for bar food. Nothing special, nothing that made me say wow we need to come back here.

Usually a solid place for cheesesteaks. This time however was not an overly pleasant outing. Start off with wanting to sit outside where it was empty, but the hostess told us no as “no tables are configured for 4 guests”. Many empty tables, but none could be configured with 4 seats. That set the tone for a pretty forgettable experience. The food was ok, but portion size was lacking and the waitress was having a hard time keeping up with minimal customer demands. All in all, not the best experience I have had there, would maybe try it again in a pinch.

Can I give it negative stars?!

Myself and two buddies went here to eat at 6pm on a Tuesday. They ordered bowls of lobster bisque and I ordered a cup of lobster bisque. The bisque was barely warm to where I could've chugged it had I opted to.....and it tasted like Campbells Tomato Soup.

One then ordered boneless wings for his meal, the other regular wings with no sauce, and both asked for blue cheese dressing on the side. I ordered a cheese steak with fries.

After about 20 minutes one buddy saw a kitchen staff member asking several tables if they ordered boneless wings, so he told them they were his. (They came with ranch dressing as well - not blue cheese)

No more food for quite some time so he started eating. Maybe 5 minutes after that my other buddy's wings came so he started eating. (Also got ranch dressing - not blue cheese)

When my two buddies were about half way done with their food, we asked where my food was. I was told that it would be out shortly as there was a mixup and they gave my food to someone else. I asked if they even started cooking it yet and was told that it would only be a few minutes. I asked again if it was even started yet and was told, "No".

At that time I told her to just forget it as my buddies were just about done eating already and I wasn't going to wait 20 minutes for my food then eat it in front of them and the soup was cold so I didn't even think the food would be any good had I waited anyway.

As we were still there chatting we observed this same kitchen staff member bring food out multiple times going from table to table asking patrons if they ordered this food until he could find the right table.

So as we are leaving a woman behind me was apparently eating my food which was given to her by mistake, and it came with chips; not fries as I ordered.

So all I had was a tiny cup of cold "something" bisque and two glasses of water.

What a terrible...

Went for 1 drink with a friend. The bartender didn’t ask if I wanted to close or open a tab, and just decided on his own to open it. Although we were only getting one drink and it would have been nice to be ASKED, I was not asked and that was annoying. Then when it came time to leave after our drink, the two bartenders kept ignoring me and my friend to dance and lip sync and wait on their friends and others who were ordering drinks and got to the bar AFTER I did. I waited at least 20 minutes to finally get the attention of a different bartender who walked behind the counter. I left a $1 tip, on the tip line, for an $11 tab (two drinks, one for me, one for my friend). I should have left nothing based on the service. Then two days later when the tip processed on my bank account it said I had a $13 charge from railroad house when i left $1 and the total should have been $12. I write clearly and it’s not difficult to add 11+1....so this bar is absolute TRASH, robs customers thinking they won’t notice ,and delivers horrible service. Never coming back and I’m spreading the word to everyone I know. I treat others how I would like to be treated. I am extremely polite and nice to service workers because I have been there myself and yet, I got treated poorly for no reason? I was not rude nor drunk to deserve to be...

I'd give 0 stars if I could. Stopped going there because of previous experiences, but gave it another shot because friends of ours wanted to go. Will be the LAST time! Went in sat down at an open table. A very rude lady came over and told us we couldn't sit there because a dj was starting at 9, so we moved. Inside the bartender got us drinks right away, and a short time later we ordered food. Order came out, and we were missing onion rings. Server apologized and said she'd get them. Order of nachos was a pile of broken chips from the bottom of the bag. Still no onion rings.. Server tried again...after everyone was done eating, and a 3rd attempt, we finally got onion rings (to go)...9:15 we leave..still no dj, rude lady asked how out meal was, told her about the rings, she "Well did you eat them?"...still no magical dj in sight...this place us so focused on the younger "drinking crowd" they forgot how to treat their hard...
