I was brought this for lunch and was told it was pretty good. Well, the wonton soup was so salty I couldn't eat it at all and the wontons were simply wanton wrappers with nothing in them... just big noodles basically.... typically wonton have something inside them. I'm not sure whose idea this was... The chicken was hard as a rock and my lemon was mutilated... the egg roll looked like it was fried 3 times and the chicken was so hot that it burned holes in my Styrofoam which can't be good for anybody's body to ingest. Maybe I have high standards but this was kind of a travesty and I'm disappointed as heck... it was edible.... for the most part... I mean the rice was okay and I was hungry... So I gave it 2 stars for that but this was ridiculous. I'll be recommending against this place from here on out. Can't believe this is the standard.

The restaurant itself was nice. The entrance, lobby, and dining room were clean. I was greeted and quickly seated shortly after entering the restaurant. The server was nice and I didn't have to wait for a drink or food order to be placed. My main reason for saying Hunan Palace is only okay is that the food itself was very bland. It was edible but the food didn't wow me. A week later after eating at Hunan Palace I barely remember being there and don't really have a desire to return. If you're in a hurry and need a Chinese food fix Hunan Palace is worth a try. You might like it! I personally wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Found a pretty good meal here. I don’t think anything I experienced here stuck out as extravagant or over the top, but I also was not disappointed at all either. Service was good, food was good, & it was served hot. I tried an egg roll, hot n sour soup, and the Hunan beef. All were worth trying again, however I wouldn’t be opposed to trying something different either. It was evening well after super when I ate, so perhaps my timing allowed for more personalized and good food & service, so I may need to try again during busy hours. So far however, it was a decent place to stop and eat, and I’d try it again.

First, I ordered the spicy chili shrimp. When receiving my meal (which came suspiciously fast, leading me to believe that these were all frozen and then thrown together/ pre-cooked) the sauce was overly rich, salty, and thick while the freezer was very discernible within the veggies. Next I tried the shrimp. It almost tasted as if it was going bad and then they threw it back into the freezer and then right into the sauce and veggies to cook. After apologizing profusely for sending my meal back, I then ordered the veggie chow mein. Upon receiving my dish, I notice that it almost had a stew or casserole appearance. Going out to eat is rare for me and is an indulgence, but this dish left me feeling very disappointed and empty handed. To summarize this dish quickly, it really just tasted like a can of cream of mushroom soup topped with Funyuns. Ridiculous sounding, yes, I know, but I’ve had chow mein before and I don’t think this was real chow mein. While paying for the bill, the hostess asked how everything was. After being met with my uncertain look, she almost gave me a look of understanding and embarrassment. I was honestly very excited to dine here, but I don’t think I will...

This place is completely and utterly delicious. It can get spendy, but their lunch combos are always very reasonably priced. I highly recommend their orange chicken, Mongolian beef, and the Thai Curry. The hot and sour soup here is on a whole new level. Atmosphere is cozy and inviting and delectably aromatic. The take out service is prompt and fresh; and you can easily get your lunch on the go with time to spare to eat it - and for under $10! I would eat here every day if I could because it's the best Asian food on this side of town. And I'd like to point out that the staff are some of the friendliest people that you could ask for in a food service industry. I'd give these guys 10...
