We have gone often and were forgiving when it opened giving them a chance to get on their feet. We like the atmosphere with the exception of it being overly loud in there. Acoustical absorbing panels in the ceiling would fix that though.
Food has always been hit and miss on portion sizes and consistency. I like the Spicy Shrimp and it always varies on portion size and how much sauce applied. I've complained about the Diet Coke lacking fizz and was told that they have the same carbonation system for their beer and sodas and they get complaints about flat soda but there is nothing they can do about it.
Last week we tried going and were seated and sat 10 min with out seeing a waitress. No water or anything. My wife asked the hostess and she said she would get our waitress. 5 min later the waitress came by and said "I'll be with you in a minute." The place was half empty about 5pm and there was no reason we couldn't be served so we walked out to find another place to go.
Last night we went and my wife ordered the One Time Salad Bar, the waitress brought her a dirty plate.
Maybe the building is cursed since Tony Roma's and Eldon's both went broke there but my issues with this place are lack of attention to detail. If you're a waitress and pick up a plate to take to a customer for the salad bar, make sure there isn't dried on food stuck to it and take a clean plate. When you seat guests, make sure they are promptly greeted with a glass of ice water or take their drink orders while they can look at the menu. I like this place because of the decor and there isn't tv's all over the place. I wish Sioux City had more nice places like this with out TV's so people could enjoy a meal and conversations but at the rate 4 Brother's is going, they...
Read moreI want so badly to give a full five stars. The service from Jordan was beyond. A true bartender in every sense. Cheaper than a psychiatrist. Food was amazing and drinks poured perfectly. Kitchen is on point. Watching the rest of the staff was great. Watching Amanda stalk her tables and swooping in to fill glasses and deliver food was more entertainment then the PGA airing live on one of the many. If screens. However. When " ED " busts in shooting snarky remarks in a hurtful manner everything comes to an end. Talking down to servers and bar tenders and then breaking ticket protocol all while in front of customers well... that's not being a leader that's being a boss. Restaurants live and die on service. A great cook or chef can turn mediocre ingredients into classic dishes servers can make you forget the stresses of the day so you can focus on the meal and drink you're about to hopefully enjoy. Here's 5 stars for service and quality but two stars for " ED " because he broke the wall and brought me into his whirlwind of stress and...
Read moreCold food, steak cooked well done (asked for med. Rare), server could have cared less about us, took almost 30 minutes to get 1 drink, 0 refills, manager also could have cared less about myself or the 2 others I was with, normally I wouldn't ever complain since I have some time under my belt in the f.s.i. , but the whole experience was beyond unacceptable. This place is just a glorified Friday's, but I think Fridays atleast some form of quality control.
Edit: the response from the OWNER! was to call the manager at the store to complain about the manager to the manager.... prime example of dumbassery all the way to the top of the food chain. Also the review wasn't my original, I deleted my original before it was published, this version is a drastically toned down version of the original. I can't express the way that the steak tasted, but for lack of better words it was FOUL!, I have 0 intent of ever going back to a 4 brothers restaurant, nor will I ever reccomend to anyone...
