if it was possible to give a negative rating I would. to put a long story short we met up with family who had arrived about 20 minutes prior to us when we found them and asked for additional seating to join our party the hostess proceeded to argue that they had indicated the party was only 8 adults and one infant, not three additional and said we would need to speak to the server. when I asked to speak to said server the hostess huffed and said it could be like one of three people. and then was of no further help. We Finally left THEY NEVER EVEN SEATED US . called and spoke to the manager they apologized offered to send out coupons as an apology said it would only take a day or 2 to send in the mail . well it is now Friday and tomorrow makes a week. called back to see what is going on and the manager on duty interrupts me mid explanation and says that they are sure the manager on Saturday was a women of her word and that there was nothing he could do and hung up??????? After this informed someone Frome their corporate customer experience center and they advised they would be forwarding my experience and complaint to the franchise owner. About 10 minutes later I received a call from him after explaining what happened and what was said by the first manager and then the experience with the second manager he lambasted and complained about the youth to Sioux Falls and their lack of ambition or want to work and how hard it is to get good people in this town I thought he would do everything in his power to take care of this issue and then ended the call after a few minutes I realized he'd actually promise nothing accept apologizing and complaining of his employees the sense of fairness I gave it till today to update my review since there's nothing further has been done in the promise of reimbursement or compensation has never been fulfilled once again save yourself the hassle and go to any restaurant that actually wants your business and patronage do not support this franchise. I have also once again contacted there corporate Offices about this issue and all they can do is forward it to...
Read moreWorst Applebee's I have ever been in. The staff was courteous enough but that was only after the 15 min wait time for drink orders. It did give us enough time to go over the menus and decide what we wanted to eat... But the next 35 min after orders were placed with nothing to do made the time awkward. Especially since people who were seated after us were able to get drinks and food before we were able to just get 2 glasses of water. And I am sorry, but I know what a restaurant can be like during rush hours... This wasnt one of those times. So imagine my dismay when the "water no ice" I ordered came not only with the ice but lemon as well! This doesn't touch on the fact of how badly I had to restrain myself from asking for a new glass -lest it take ANOTHER 15 min to get one- after my waitress delivered it by gripping the rim of the cup where I was supposed to drink from. I'm not a germaphobe, so I settled and just wiped the rim with a napkin. When the food finally arrived, I couldnt restrain myself any more. My wife and I ordered from the 2 for $27 menu. The app was great! But the main dishes were sad follow ups. I ordered the 4 cheese and honey chicken tenders while she ordered the bourbon chicken and shrimp. My bowl had these nice and tender stips of breaded chicken but an entire 2 cups of the honey sauce sat under the mac and cheese. The noodles were over cooked and hard to stomach since there wasnt much for cheese sauce and what was there was drowned in honey sauce. Her plate had deliciously cooked chicken and shrimp with a horde of undercooked potato chunks. All of this might have balanced out if not for the half of cup of grease that we had to pour off the plate.
I'm not one for just slamming service or food unless its absolutely necessary, as you can see by me pointing out the pros along side the cons... But Applebee's of Sioux Falls... You have dissapointed me to no end. And by the unhappiness of my wifes tone... You will probably have a call going into corporate soon. I wish you much improvement and the best of luck.... You will need it if she is still this unhappy in...
Read moreLooks like this may be the LAST visit to our East side Applebees!! My friend and I have gone there a few times this year and each time we go, we end up with problems! Last evening, we went and were told that there would be a little wait - on the food in the Kitchen - as they were overwhelmed! We sat down and ordered our beverage and checked out the Menu. We then put in our order (which was 2 for $25.00 Meal Combo). One was pork riblets with side salad and the other was chicken pesto pasta with side caeser salad. Our drinks came and were not good or refreshing...but way too expensive!!! Then when our food came out - they forgot to bring out our side salads and were told later that they hard been sitting at the Window, ready for delivery - but when we asked about them...we were told that they had been tosssed in the garbage!! We asked for the Manager to "try and help correct our order", but she was NOT looking out for our service as "pleasing the Customer"...which I reminded her of what all had gone wrong and taken place thus far!! She did not even offer to waive the meals - or take a discount off our meals. No apology - and then she tried to push "a Brownie" to replace our ceasar salad - which they had forgot to originally bring out to us - and then came back to report that they hard thrown them away!! We DID NOT want "a brownie" either! I told her that Business at this AppleBees used to be GOOD....but over the past few years - their service and communication is failing so much! When the Server came back with the Bill - he at least apologized which we thanked him for. But, I did tell him that this would be reported to AppleBees Top People as something needs to be done ASAP!
