Delicious food and i will be coming back here again! Gumbo is very well done seasoned, not too much, not that spicy, and i must say... someone in the kitchen has A LOT of talent to make this delicious food. My shrimp poboy is amazing as well but the Gumbo is the most excellent tasting food in my plate. My dad got a whole bowl of Gumbo and he loved it so much, he left the bowl more than empty... it left it dry CLEAN!
I did the same thing and i have to say. I am willing to come back here again.
Once you walk through that door, the first smell you get the is Boiled Crawfish and Spice. If your not from Louisiana or never tried the Cajun food, you came to the right place and the perfect time for that is their Wendsday 4-7 PM all you can eat Crawfish special.
Not only is the food Delicious but also healthy depending if you like fried food and ignore your diet.
I reccomend the GUMBO which is $5 for Cup, and $10 for a whole bowl which you kind of have an idea what it looks like in the background of the pic i provided. Especially if your not looking to spend that much money and to leave this place with a full belly.
I am very grateful and thankful for this restaurant because there is other cajun restaurants that might try to fool you or give a bad first impression such as quality and price.
Speaking of Quality and Price. The food here EXCELLENT QUALITY and FAIR/GOOD PRICE.
Tell your family and friends, neighbors or church buddies because i Reccomend this place for all of you.
P.S. This place is a very very clean and spotless restaurant but i do think there could be one thing that can be added to make this place better, im not asking for it to be extra fancy or something like that. This place could use painting whether it is on the floor or on the wall. The painting could be about Louisiana and Fishing and have all kinds of scenes on it so it can have nice story. Becaue behind every photo and painting there is a story.
I say this because a painting will always have customers discussing about it making the place more socially. Some people might come back to eat just for the paintng. A large painting will make this more interesting.
Thank you and i rate this...
Read moreFirst time at this establishment, purchased the Lunch Shrimp, Hush Puppies, and a Fountain Drink. Spent about $20, could have been about $15 but wanted to get them hush puppies. There's a little market area to purchase fresh seafood and next to that there's an ordering food window. The young lady greeted me upon entering and was very courteous in taking my order. Contrary to some of the previous reviews, I'm glad the young folk are working during the summer and not out causing trouble. It's also a responsible choice given that it's not cheap buying items to be somewhat trendy. We did it when we were young but it's very expensive now-a-days especially with all the technology out there. They had your typical soda selection and sweet, unsweetened tea plus watermelon lemonade. Made an unsweetened Arnold Palmer with the watermelon lemonade and I'd have to say I was not disappointed. The food came out shortly after taking my seat. It was hot and cooked just right. The shrimp was a decent size and the breading was delicious not like others I've had. The hush puppies were NOT overcooked or hard. They were crisp exterior and a soft moist flavorful inside. The restaurant could use a good cleaning. Not sure if they're not preparing the mop water correctly but it seemed to have sticky sounding floors and could use a sweeping. I would return to have lunch or try their dinner selection. I did return because I thought i was overcharged but I wasn't. Didn't receive an itemized receipt so I wasn't sure. When I return to bring it up to the cashier, a different young lady was there, equally as courteous and checked for accuracy and reprinted the receipt. I forget how lunches have increased in price and sometimes you pay for the drink. Which in this case, it's not included with the lunch plate. Which is fine, they have to make a living too and pay their workers. Overall I...
Read moreI preordered 2 dozen crabs and 6 lbs of shrimp before hand over the phone. Lady on the phone was sweet and said that it was okay so I placed my order. I get up there the older white lady, looked about late 50s early 60s at the register gave me a kinda unpleasant sour look as soon as I walked in. Should have listened to my first mind. Never smiled and was kind of rushy with ringing me up. I told her my name and she made a face like “really, that’s your name” asked me 4 times what my name was mind you my name is pretty basic and short tbh and not hard to understand. I’m not a foreigner and born and raised in New Orleans and no Cajun accent either. She caught my confused look and hurried and rung me up in a annoyed rushy way…So from the beginning the attitude and vibe in there was giving “not welcomed but I’ll still take your money”. Didn’t care just wanted my seafood so I could enjoy a swimming day with my kids…As we pour our seafood on our plates in the back yard FLIES!…Not one or two but SIX dead flies. We’re in our bag. Truly DISGUSTING. Crabs were big but empty and shrimps over boiled. If you don’t want flies in your food don’t eat here!!!! Place was empty...
