On my last visit I was not impressed. I am a server myself, therefore if the restaurant was busy I could understand a lack of attentiveness because I have been there myself. We were the second table sat in the restaurant we came in at 11:05 am. It was not busy at all. Yet we only saw the waitress to bring our drinks/get our order to bring our food and then we waited 10 minutes with our plates stacked neatly on the end of the table before she noticed and brought us our check it was only then that she noticed that both of our drink glasses were empty and offered us a drink to go. Once she brought our check I placed money in the book and she took it straight away. She never brought us change or anything. My bill was $34, I put $50 in the book expecting change I never did receive. Now I do tip between 30% to 50% depending on service. It was not my intention to leave her a $16 tip. I do not see myself returning seeing as this was my 2nd unplesant experience. The first time my waiter slipped his phone number to my 13 yr old daughter. When I said something he told me he was sorry that he thought she was 16 or 17. Still not appropriate and not excused. Read moreBrought my family here for dinner tonight as we usually enjoy the Wednesday special. We sat outside on the patio being that the weather was nice and we wanted to take precautions against COVID-19. As we were seated we noted a few flies, but thought nothing much of it. Once the food arrived, the flies were uncontrollable. They landed on the chips, food, and on the cups. I covered all of the food and went inside to look for the waitress. I told her that the flies were all over our food and that I'd lost my appetite. She offered to move us inside which didn't make much sense to me as our food was now cold. She brought the requested to go boxes along with the check. No apology and no offer to alert the manager. She just said she'd never seen any flies on the patio area before and headed back inside. I requested to see the manager and once he arrived to the table, he saw what my family and I experienced. I repeated what happened and he offered to seat us inside. I told him we were already finished. He collected my payment and came back with receipt stating he gave me a twenty percent discount. In short, I paid 55 bucks for a fly infested dinner. The server’s attitude was very poor and unenthusiastic and he claimed it was due to not getting service when you can tell it was because my friend is the only person who ordered. But with an attitude that ugly, I wonder why there’s no service.
My friend ordered an A La Carte enchilada and after finally having it brought out to her after 30 minutes of waiting for something so small and easy, there was a long, black hair sticking OUT of the inside of the enchilada. All three of us had our hair up and pulled back and he claimed there weren’t even any women in the back. So, how did the hair get there? My friend’s hair isn’t even black and we were never near her food.
And to ruin the rest of the experience, once the new enchilada came out, there was a very large cockroach crawling around the table next to us and nobody came to check on us so we couldn’t tell anybody, so I just killed it myself. Gross.
