Our first visit. We did takeout. We would say the food is good. Not great. It fills a void, but did’t necessarily leave us yearning for more. Prices are reasonable and the service was very fast. From time of order to pickup was 10 minutes!
The portions are large. We had three entree items, a fried rice, some hot and sour soup and egg rolls. More than we needed for 4 people. Could have cut it down to 2 entrees.
The hot & sour soup had a bit too much vinegar taste and a backlash of spice that hit your throat. Certainly have had far better elsewhere.
We had the cashew chicken, special fried rice, pork egg fu yong, and pork Chow mein. All were bountiful and packed with meat and vegetables.
The flavors were good. Just not great. Missing that “pop” of umami normally associated with Chinese food.
The eggrolls were good. But could use more stuffing. Not sure they are homemade in the store. Seemed more like frozen.
If you are craving quick serve Chinese for takeout, this is a good option in the slinger area. But if you are willing to drive, I am sure you can...
Read moreWe are new to the area and wanted to find a good chinese style restaurant. Since we love chinese food there was a a high level for them to meet. First impression was it looked more like a Burger King restaurant so I thought they make most of their business on take-out. It was clean. Order taker was a man who was also a cook. Obvious limited english. We ate there. Large menu is offered. Cook brought out our food quickly (impressive) and then sat at one of the other tables to eat his own meal. My 3 pork egg foo yung patties were large in diameter and lacked flavor from the pork and were a bit oily. The side of white rice tasted like Uncle Bens. The shrimp fried rice was better. Shrimp were larger than most other restaurants use and the chopped vegetables in the rice had flavor. I usually like a glass of plum wine with my meal but only non-alcoholic beverages served here. My wife and I had the weak tea....
Read moreThis weekend my dad and I just wanted to pick up some food and eat at home. I suggested Chinese. Chinatown Kitchen is just down the road from my dad's house and this is the place my sister recommended. Good sized menu with typical fare. One of my favorites it Singapore Chow Mei Fun and this place had it, as all restaurants don't. This is my go to instead of rice and I get General Tsao chicken to go on top. The chow mei fun was spectacular with large chunks of chicken, shrimp and pork. As well as loaded with veggies. The Chicken was done very well and not overcooked. Exactly what I was looking for. My dad likes beef and seafood so I got him shrimp and beef scechuan Szechuan style. His meal was loaded as well. An order of crab Rangoon which was done nicely not overcooked and stuffed the yummy creamy crab filling. Overall the food was great. The service was outstanding and the...
