The Peach Cobbler Factory - Smithfield NC — Restaurant in Smithfield

I had been looking forward to visiting this place for months, particularly because I love peach cobbler. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. My husband and I ordered the sampler, which included regular peach cobbler, mango peach cobbler, regular banana pudding, and strawberry banana pudding.

The peach cobbler was bland, and the mango peach cobbler only had a dollop of mango pie mix on top. The banana puddings were similarly underwhelming—lacking the rich banana flavor I expected. The strawberry banana pudding was essentially strawberry pie mixed into the original pudding, which didn’t enhance the flavor much.

On top of that, the service was lacking. When we walked in, there was no one at the counter, and when an employee did appear, she took our order and then disappeared. We only saw anyone again when our food was brought out. The store also didn’t have the inviting smell of baking that I anticipated.

Was visiting the area for the weekend. My family was excited to go here. Well took it back to the hotel. We were quite disappointed. The peach cobbler crust has no flavor and too much cinnamon in the crust, followed by Peaches are overly sweetened. Peach Cobbler should be more than just about the sweetness. It needs to be flavorful. My mom said, taste like the employees are disgruntled with their employer. Never thought about it that way. My fiance and I stopped by and we absolutely enjoyed it. Friendly staff and was more than happy to walk us through the menu. I got the Apple Walnut Raisin cobbler with ice cream and Apple Butter cinnamon roll. SO SO GOOD. The cobbler was hot and just went so well with the ice cream! My fiance enjoyed his nice sized Peanut Butter Praline cookie. We sat in and ate a few bites and ended up taking the rest home just to enjoy 30 minutes later!
