Fiesta Jalisco Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Smithville

Placed order on my way home from work to pick up on way through town about 5:40... i was 20 minutes out was told it would take 15 to get ready...when I arrived at 6 the young lady at the register took my name, gave me a total and waited on the man behind me while I signed my debit card slip.. when I was done she walked off... didn't tell me if my order was ready or not and began seating other people... i stopped another waitress and asked her to check on my order and told her what happened... the original girl stopped her and they had a brief chat... when the waitress came back she told me that my order would be ready in 25 minutes....when i asked to explain she said that it was made wrong and they had to remake it.. the original young lady joined her at the register and I asked her why she didn't tell me that my order was not made that I would have not paid and went on... she got an attitude so I told her that her customer serviced skills sucked .. and walked out... no they didn't offer a refund or discount on my next visit...my husband went back and picked up our food and mind you we live less than 1/2 mile from the restaurant and when he got the food home at 6:10 it was cold...not even warm like the cheese was hard again... worst experience ever with this restaurant.. the young lady was horrid and snotty ... when I reviewed the order ticket on the order it says that it was a walk-in order placed at 6 pm .. so that tells me they didn't even place the call in order so i'd say she...

We have been loyal customers here since the week after they opened. Many weeks we are here 2 nights a week. This week (July 30-Aug 5) is the statewide Tennessee Sales Tax holiday. This year that sales tax holiday has been expanded to include food at restaurants, grocery stores, etc. It does not include alcohol.

We ordered our normal meals and a large draft beer for my husband. When the check came it was 24 dollars and some change with 2.14 in tax. The entire meal had been taxed, not just the alcohol. I told the girl taking my card that it was a sales tax holiday and she didn't know anything about it. She went to the back and brought back a nice young man and he said there wasn't anything he can do about it, that their manager/owner said they were not going to honor it.

Over the 5 days sales tax holiday that is hundreds, if not thousands of dollars that they will not have to turn in to the state and I will be calling on Monday to report them to the Department of Revenue.

You literally just lost 2 of your most loyal customers over a dollar and not honoring a statewide holiday that every other business in Smithville was happy...

The food has been good, the location is not bad, the service is not bad neither EXCEPT one waiter in particular who had us wait to take our order for over 25 min. This is the second time he has done that. I would understand waiting that long if it was busy and he had multiple tables to serve but in this case the restaurant was not busy at all. This second time really made us aggravated because we observed how he has not busy, he would walk in and out the kitchen talking and would sit down. We tracked time and even waited 5 extra mins and when we decided to walk out that’s when he came towards us telling us to wait that he was on his way. We waited long enough we were not going to keep waiting.
