DO NOT GO HERE, WE USE TO BE REGULARS! I normally don’t go writing bad reviews but I honestly am baffled by just how CRAPPY the service has gotten. The manager would always greet us and on our way out, she’d sometimes ask how the food was and my husband and I were always happy to report that everything was great and how much we loved it there. However, she has this one waitress who, UNFORTUNATELY we always seem to get her on the occasions that we’ve gone lately. This is a waitress who, does not seem to pay much attention to her tables or is selective with who she pays attention to; disappears for extended periods that is extremely noticeable and seem to have a trend with getting orders “mixed up”. More often than not when she serves on us we have to go up front asking for our tickets. Now I’m not in the business of stopping no body from making their money so I was honestly happy that at least I could depend on the food to be good even though the waitress made me feel like I was better off serving myself but no… enchiladas tapatias came out cold because their sauce which seemed to have been refrigerated was just sprinkled on it so it made entire thing cold. It was such a turn off and in the 4 years of going, this was the first I’ve ever sent back a dish, in fact this is the first I’ve ever in my life sent back a plate. Now the manager came out and apologised and made a new plate and I honestly felt ok regardless of being the last person to eat around my table. Fast forward, we went tonight, this time we were seated, brought chips&salsa and never saw a waiter/waitress for 20 min while we watched new groups came in and their orders taken. By this we got up and when we went to the front where the girl proceeded to ask if we wanted our check 😂… I give up. Don’t waste your time here. The manager seems to be ok with her workers doing things like this. Let’s BRING BACK GOOD...
Read moreMy normal go to is Margarita House but this place is the highest rated Mexican restaurant in Smyrna and is close to my house so I decided to give it a shot.
Everything was fine when I went in. I was sat and ordered a margarita. I finished my margarita and was working on the chips and salsa. My waitress came over and I ordered food and a michelada. This is where it got weird.
My waitress brought me my michelada, asked if I needed more salsa and then disappeared. I did not see her again for twenty minutes. It was actually longer because I decided to check the time and then time how long it had been so it was probably more like 25-30 minutes.
I didn't mind waiting that long for food but I finished my drink and wanted to order another but she never came back. So I sat there with an empty cup and no food for TWENTY MINUTES!
Finally I decided I had been forgotten and went up front to pay for my drinks and leave. The women at the register looked confused. A minute or so later my waitress shows up and angrily asks me "So you don't want the food no more?" I told her no that I had been waiting too long and I had not seen her for twenty minutes. She says "well, I am no cook, I only bring you food, you got your michelada right?" and then turned around without letting me respond.
She then tells me to leave and I say that I'd like to pay for my drinks first. She grumpily gets my ticket for me to pay for my drinks.
What I wanted to say to her was that I was perfectly happy waiting for food as long as she came back to check on me and let me order another drink. 20 minutes is far too long to be sitting with an empty cup and I was ordering expensive drinks.
Bottom line, never again will I return here and I would recommend everyone stay very far away from these grumpy...
Read moreOn first impression, it was just another Mexican place. We placed a large to go order that was rapidly inhaled by my hoard of locusts (aka my family). Even my very picky husband (who isn’t a fan of Mexican) liked it. He went back for seconds. We placed the order in person. Call me picky, but we prefer to observe if staff is following mask mandates prior to letting a stranger make our dinner. Upon walking in, staff and any non eating patrons were masked. We placed our order, which was ready in about 15 minutes. We were originally concerned things had only been re-warmed since it was so quick, but it was not. The meat was tender and moist, no dry areas. Nothing over or under cooked. The shrimp, which many restaurants fail horribly at, was cooked perfect. I’m a tough critic, but couldn’t find one issue with any of it. Not sure about the dine-in experience. However, I can say that during our short time waiting for our order, we observed a very attentive staff. Drink glasses were kept full, and staff not serving were constantly cleaning. We will def give...
