I am writing to express my disappointment with the service my wife and I received at your Smyrna, GA location on 4624 Camp Highland Road this evening. As residents of Smyrna, we were excited to have a Smoothie King open closer to our home, but our experience has left us feeling unappreciated and overlooked.
When we walked into the store, it was empty, and there were four employees present—three young African Americans and a male who appeared to be of Middle Eastern or Hispanic descent, whom I assumed was the manager as he was giving instructions to the others. Despite making eye contact with the manager upon entering, he did not acknowledge us and continued instructing the employees. It was only after this that a younger African American male attended to us and provided decent service.
My concern is why the manager deemed it more important to continue giving instructions rather than acknowledging and welcoming customers. A simple greeting or acknowledgement would have made us feel valued as customers. Instead, we felt invisible and unimportant.
As a local resident, I was looking forward to becoming a regular patron of your new location. However, this experience has made me reconsider. I believe that customer service, especially the first impression, is crucial in retaining customers and fostering loyalty.
I hope that you will address this issue with your staff to ensure that all customers feel welcomed and appreciated upon entering your establishment. Until then, I regret to say that I will be hesitant to return or recommend this location to others.

I was the first person to order my smoothie in the early morning around 8:35am on Friday, Nov 15, 2024. Then there were 3 people after me and 2 more came in and 2 more with online orders. The online orders of course were made first, no complaints because I don’t know what time those were ordered. But then the 2 people that ordered after me got their smoothies before me. She notice I came in with another bowl from another smoothie king and came to this location to get another açaí bowl with added strawberries since the location down the rd on South cobb. She offered a scoop of strawberries for the inconvenience which I stated my son was fine with the mango but the offer was much appreciated. In the end I ended up buying another bowl with the added strawberries. I saw all this because I saw her mindful of my previous experience and provide excellent welcoming environment.
